Really like this series.
The first book in the Cork O‘Conner series was good, this one is even better. A country music superstar disappears into the wilderness, soon after a whole lot of dangerous/suspicious/worried people come looking for her. But nothing is as it seems as Cork heads out into the wilderness to find her before the wrong person does. This one was hard to put down with wilderness survival & shattering family secrets making for a good story.
#2 of 20 in the series. I am getting to know and like the characters. These books are a bit longer than others like them—which I like. The stories are what they are—entertaining and enjoyable. I like the Native American themes. And I like they are set in Northern Minnesota, where I have spent much time. On to the next one!

Addicted to the Cork O'Connor series by William Kent Krueger, this is second in the series and enjoying.
Book 2 of the Cork O‘Connor mystery series!
The landscape and natural elements become dramatic characters in the series: northern Minnesota, cold and unforgiving, icy lakes and mounds of snow …when there is violence you can see and feel the dark blood oozing into the bright sparkling snow..
Cork is an awesome character who gets banged up a lot but always returns for the next mystery!

I'm so enjoying the Cork O'Connor series. This one has a trip to the backwoods that not everyone survives.
If your mystery fan, I definitely recommend this series!
Lunch today... Ham and buttered pasta with Cork O'Connor!
My short walk before the rain plus some listening at work allowed me to finish this book. I love the little touch of Native American mysticism in this series. It‘s just subtle enough that you can take it or leave it. I‘ll be reading more of these mysteries, which are closer to thrillers. Here, Cork is helping to search for a country singer lost in the woods, but not everyone he and his team encounter have the same goal of rescuing her. #audiowalk
I‘m enjoying this weather and this book. I‘ve got three hours left in it. I have no idea why that life vest is hanging on that tree. #audiowalk
The second Cork O‘Connor novel is my new walking book. I‘m really liking this series so far. Beautiful day for a walk. The turtles were all out sunning themselves and swimming. I could be wrong this year — it might not freeze and kill the azaleas like it usually does. #audiowalk
Perfect cover and weather to read this book. So much snow everywhere!
1. The cool pets I get to visit with.
2. Do not be afraid to pursue what you love rather than what you feel you should.
3. Check texts in case of emergency then shower

Finished listening to this one while I work on my first ever cross stitch. I am really enjoying this series on audiobook. The mysteries in this series are compelling and I love that nature has such a presence. I also really enjoy the Anishanabee culture that is shared throughout the story. I look forward to the next book.
This is book two in the Cork O‘Connor series. I just love the setting of these in the North Woods of Minnesota. Another good mystery with good characters. Kept me guessing. This was my #Bookspin book and another square for #BookspinBingo
A good, solid mystery - compelling plot and characters, easy to read, a solid 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and I‘m looking forward to reading the next one in this series.
