Loved this magical romance between a witch and a merman ❤️
The setting was enchanting, and the love story was sweet.
I've got post-it notes on pages ready to discuss at book club 🙂
Love in a town where magic is real and people are chill about it. A merman comes back into town and sees a witch he knew in school. There are sparks right away, but mermen are known to wander. Will Alex put down roots and stay? Meanwhile, Lucy performs a spell to get an exciting life; is it magic, or is Alex actually falling for her? It‘s cute, but there are loose ends with Ursula‘s wedding! Not pictured: me crying as I fail to get the sticker off
3.5/5⭐ Cute magic-infused world. I appreciated the way spellcraft was woven through as something that can help but that the power still lies with the person. I especially liked the theme of manifesting the life you want.
Perfect October read!! A witch and merman who were friends in high school brought back together 10 years later. Can they finally make it past friendship and to forever? Absolutely adored. Read so fast. Desperately hoping the sisters get books too.
Ooh I almost forgot I had this! I hope to get to this one this month.

With her high school reunion approaching, Lucy is feeling disappointed in how boring her life is, but when she and her coven cast a wish spell, everything is flipped upside down. Suddenly Lucy is entering baking contests and running racing as well as getting reacquainted with her high school best friend and crush, Alex. It's a wild ride and Lucy has to figure out what exactly she does wish for out of her life.

Whenever it rained in Freya Grove, New Jersey, Nana Ruth Naomi Caraway, the matriarch witch of the family, said the same proverb to her eldest granddaughter, Lucy. “You don‘t know how deep a puddle is until you step in it.”
