I plan to sit on the back patio with mocha and catch up on my flower a day reading 💚📗💚
It‘s hygge hour. I tried to make Julia Child‘s recipe for strawberries with almond cream, but we must not be sophisticated enough because we had to throw it out and make plain whipped cream instead which we ate over Sara Lee pound cake 🤣 I‘m going to round out the rest of the hour with #litsyLove and some baseball. Have a good one everyone ❤️
I‘m starting my #hyggehour early tonight. It‘s just too humid to do anything else. I‘ve got two books, a can of cold sparkling water, a citronella candle, and the rumble of thunder in the distance.

My hygge hour was while Litsy was down last night and then I fell asleep before I could post. I woke up in A MOOD yesterday, but my son cooked dinner and I cleaned after a soccer game. Hygge hour in a clean and quiet kitchen after the last of the busy weekends was just what the doctor ordered. Thanks @AllDebooks @TheBookHippie @Chrissyreadit @jenniferw88

The sun is setting and it‘s time for #hyggehour
I‘m drinking my tea and reading until I can‘t keep my eyes open any more. This was our first really warm day here this year and we‘re all feeling it.

We are close to the end of #midwintersolace and I have really enjoyed seeing the cozy reading spaces and moments shared with all of us in community I'm glad we did this through January as I'm realizing it does not have as much to anticipate and is Cold and Bare. #naturalitsy

Heres a tip from me to you. Every year I buy a new house sweater - in place of old lady robes😅.
I wear it over pjs too. But having a cozy sweater that is just for the house changes your mindset. Same for cozy socks. House only. Pictured is last years grey and this years black. After the year is up I use it for my outdoor sweater and then donate it to the thrift store here that is nonprofit. Can find sweaters there too as well.
It‘s frightfully cold, having spot of tea before I head to bed with book. My hygge view currently.

A day late with my hygge hour this week since today was a holiday. Went for a walk in the snow and now reading with a snack and a book. #MidWinterSolace
I didn‘t feel like breakfast in bed, but I did make a good breakfast and am sitting in my chair with my kindle, and here I will stay for the next few hours. I plan to split the time between reading and looking out the window hoping for snow. (And not the dreaded freezing rain.) #WinterSolace #7DayHyggeChallenge
Started my #HyggeChallenge on Wednesday as a way to relax now that fall semester grades are in. I asked my husband to choose a game that didn't require too much strategy and was amused that he went with this one. (He admitted it needed more strategy than he anticipated after we were done. 😂)
I was listening to a book I didn‘t finish last month while I cleaned up my sink area that includes my plants. I find audio booking and quietly cleaning while my family is asleep very relaxing. My newest plant is Gaston (Yes, I have a theme 🤣) that my husband got me after my surgery. I‘m not good with plants, but I do like having them around. 🥰
I‘m running a bit late for hygge hour tonight- we‘re doing Christmas tomorrow and I had to finish wrapping. But as soon as I pick my kids up from living their best lives I‘m planning on a glass of mulled wine, my Snuggie, and an article about butterflies that has been calling my name.
