⭐Alice goes to a party where a rumor starts about her sleeping with two guys on the same night. At school, a bathroom stall is deemed as the slut stall where nasty comments about her are written. One of the guys that is rumored she slept with dies in a car accident and the teen that survived the accident says that Alice was texting him to have sex. Alice gets bullied and blamed for the death. Nothing in this book was resolved. The book just ended.

This book reminded me of a crossover of Speak & 13 Reasons Why. It's one of those stories that had a spiraling affect of the consequences of falling victim to vicious rumors. People always want to believe the worst of someone else in order to cover their own secrets. The only one who knew the truth about Alice was Alice but who would want to believe her when the rumors made it easier for others to cope with their own dark truth. #24in48
This was an amazing book! Especially since you uncover different things from the four different characters telling their parts of the story until you get to read Alice‘s side in the last chapter. This book is one of the best I‘ve read, so I gave it 4.5 stars.
The Truth About Alice, by Jennifer Mathieu, was one of those books that I couldn't put down. And don't you just love that cover? #WhatToRead #booklover #contemporary #youngadult
I'm assuming this is #SetInASmallTown since everyone seemed to know everyone else's business, which is definitely a trait of small-town life. #PhotoADayNov16
This was a really quick read, and one with a powerful message. Some of the plot twists were a little obvious and I felt like the author tried a little too hard to sound like a teenager in parts.
"This debut novel from Jennifer Mathieu is completely mind-blowing. It‘s a relentless but honest look into small town and particularly high school dynamics." Reviewed by Thalia http://bit.ly/2bj7IlP
