One of my favorites #setinasmalltown, Elizabeth Gaskell had a genius for capturing the foibles of a small community. And this is another for my #FolioFreaks. I just wish they had done Cranford in these editions! #maybookflowers

For the #setinasmalltown prompt, I decided to make a book quilt of the Aunt Dimity novels. They are set in the small village of Finch in the Cotswolds of England. I love reading these light, cozy mysteries and sometimes wish I could visit Lori and her gossipy, but mostly well-meaning, neighbours. I like Lucy Dillon, mainly because her romances focus more on the characters themselves with the romance as a sort of secondary plot, and seem to all involve dogs!
This one is set in a small town, where the main character works in a bookshop. I loved the majority of the story, but do not like part of the ending. When it comes to main characters, I'm very particular about who deserves to be with them!
