This was really enjoyable — Sunny and Isaac had so much depth as characters, and their relationship developed really naturally. So much spice (🥵) but it didn‘t take over the plot or the development of the story. This was a study in grief and different ways of working through it, and how it affects the lives of the affected. It was actually quite thoughtful and insightful in a lot of ways. Also, MR TUMNUS.

So, so, so good… this book made me literally laugh out loud and furiously blush… sometimes in the same scene!! If you want some Christmas spice, this is the book for you!

Isaac bought the mansion in Christmas Notch in the hopes of finding inspiration to write a Christmas album to meet his contractual obligations and live out the rest of his life in peaceful isolation. Instead he find's Sunny, his best friend's wife's best friend, in a terrible motel with her cat trying to write a holiday screenplay for the Hope channel and invites her to be his roommate instead. They quickly become more than roommates.

I look forward to reading this series every winter. I've actually put off my library hold this year just so I could read it for #WinterGames so I guess that qualifies it as my Most Anticipated Read.
