I didn't let the TBR Jar pick my next read this time- I wanted to read this for #LitsyAtoZ #V and because I'm in the mood for a good mystery. Another mystery: how do they make peanut butter & jelly coffee taste so good?! ☕ #coffeeandabook
pickThis mightn't have been among Mayle's best; but I still found it fun. He's good at writing food, wine, levels of attraction (without being either precious or bawdy), and intrigue. I'll keep reading the series, as well as rereading some of his work from which I've been away a long time.

so-soNot my favorite Peter Mayle novel. With that said, it is a quick read. Perfect for a car or plane ride. Weak plot, but the likeable characters make up for it. Worth the read if you need a little dose of Provence.
