Forgot to post this last night. I finished book 92 around 11:30pm last night. The Goodreads challenge was the only one I completed 😂. I came close to finishing the A to Z challenge led by @BookishMarginalia but missed it by 8 books. #2018readingchallenges

sprainedbrain Very nice stats! 🥳 6y
BookishMarginalia You did well! 6y
Airykah13 @BookishMarginalia thanks! Is there a link for the 2019 form? 6y

I‘m up early this Monday morning, with nowhere to be for a few hours. Work has finally slowed down for the season and it‘s my final week before staycation starts at 4:30 Friday afternoon (but who‘s counting?)

This is my list of reading challenges for 2018. Those last 3 are for a longer haul. And with a half-dozen lists, I‘m well-stocked in challenges for the next year!

Marchpane Wow, those are some ambitious challenges! My hat's off to you 👏 7y
dariazeoli @Marchpane Thanks! Here‘s hoping I make it through all of them! 7y

This morning (when I was supposed to do other things!), @Soubhiville posted about #2018readingchallenges and I got tagged b/c of co-hosting #booked2018. Now I‘m thinking about ways to integrate #theyearofthechunkster into my various challenge prompts. This is a case of #litfluence of the very best kind. I have so many #chunksters on my shelves, still unread!

Soubhiville Yay! Planning TBR‘s is fun, even if I often stray from the plan! 7y
Soubhiville Oh! I just saw you have Kushiel‘s Dart in there! It‘s one of my favorite books! The audio is excellent, if you‘re going that way. Once you start you will want to do nothing else, so be prepared! 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Soubhiville I agree - I plan, I re-plan, and then I switch again. 🤪 I‘ll have to look harder at a way to include Kushiel‘s Dart in their then! 👏🏻👏🏻 (edited) 7y

Riveted_Reader_Melissa I have quite a few of these on my list too! More we can read together! #LitsySilverLining! 😂 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa Maybe instead of #Nonfiction2017 we‘ll have to work on #Brick2018 7y
Ashley_Nicoletto I love planning TBRs and the idea of reading lots of lengthy books. So excited you're thinking about coming along for the fun! 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Riveted_Reader_Melissa Which books do we overlap on? I‘d love to read together as we can! 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Ashley_Nicoletto Me too. Even if I only read 4-5 #chunksters in 2018, that‘s still good by me! 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa I have The Inheritance Trilogy bundle and Cryptonomicon on my kindle, Team of Rivals on audiobook, and Women Who Run With The Wolves and The Mists of Avalon in paperback...and those are just the ones I own already, there‘s a few others there that I wouldn‘t mind reading. (edited) 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa The People‘s History, The Once and Future King, Jonathan Strange, The Luminaries, House of Leaves, and And The Band Played On are all ones I‘d like to read too, but I don‘t think I current own them. I‘m pretty sure I could get any of those from the library though. 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Riveted_Reader_Melissa I‘m planning the first Jemisin and Women Who Run w/Wolves for Jan-Mar #Booked2018 challenge prompts. So those would be the first logical ones. 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa I‘ll try to do the same then. I still have Jemisin‘s other trilogy to finish up soon(ish) too. (edited) 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage Sounds like a plan. Hey, are you thinking of going to hear George Saunders in Feb at Midtown? I‘m indecisive since I‘ve heard him before. And worries that I‘m too far away for a winter date. I wouldn‘t go up in the snow! 7y
ApoptyGina69 When, oh when?!? I wanted to read it this summer, I thought by the end of the year...now I‘m thinking over my holiday break, but SOON. 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @ApoptyGina69 For which one? Shantaram? I‘m starting it on Jan 1st for 2018 challenges. I‘d be happy to do a buddy read if you don‘t get to it sooner. 📚❤️ 7y
Johanna414 Looks very similar to my 2018 plan- I want to focus less on the number of books I‘m reading and try to put a dent in reading the books I already own. Especially the longer ones I‘ve been putting off for awhile! 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Johanna414 Agreed. I just counted up my challenge-related books and my goal will be forty percent lower than last year. Quality over quantity! 7y
ApoptyGina69 @BarbaraTheBibliophage yes Shantaram. Sorry, I didn‘t realize the vastness of the post when I commented in haste. 😊I have added a buddyread to my notebook of January plans and will follow up. 😍📚👍 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @ApoptyGina69 Perfect!! It‘ll be fun to read together. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️📚❤️📚 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @BarbaraTheBibliophage I just saw your question now when I was going back to see what two books you had mentioned for spring to write them in my schedule. No, I wasn‘t planning to. I‘ve heard of him, but read very little from him so far, and like you it gets really hard to plan ahead during the winter months. So nope, I‘m not planning on that one, sorry. 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Riveted_Reader_Melissa No worries. I think it‘s just too dicey in the winter. I do like his work, but I already own a few and don‘t want another copy. Already have a signed one. 7y
