This #5thbookinaseries is perhaps my favorite of the whole series. Pirates and Romantic poets. The best! #PiratesLife #WhatAWayToLive

CrowCAH Awesome; looks good! And not two things often associated with each other: pirates and poets! Lol 8y

CrowCAH Interesting cover art! Yay for long series with a 5th book! 😊 8y
Texreader Does the series have to be read in order? 8y
JacintaMCarter @Texreader Each book references things that happened in the previous books, but I don't think you lose any major plot lines if you read them out of order. 8y

#5thbookinaseries

The Emma manga series was my fav awhile back and I collected most of them. Love Lies Bleeding is the 5th in Gervase Fen series and the whole series is brilliant and funny. The Susan Cooper is the Dark is Rising series, the Alan Bradley is the lovely Flavia de Luce series, and then there's Anne. 💜

#5thBookinaSeries I've read all these books which come 5th in a series except The Scarab Path.

Decided to count Dawntreader as 5th based on Narnian chronology as opposed to The Horse and his Boy which was the 5th published. I just like Dawntreader better. I spent an unreasonable amount of time making that decision.

GatheringBooks booknerd problems are the best 8y
Chassie I love the Oz series. I'd pay a decent amount of money for a convo w/Baum. I devoured those as a kid. 8y
aeeklund PROMETHEA!!! 8y

Centique I love that you spent an unreasonable amount of time on that. ?? I took forever trying to decide about "Golden Age of Piracy" too. As @GatheringBooks says "booknerd problems" ?? 8y
batsy The Dark is Rising series... Still gives me all the feelings. 8y
Laalaleighh I understand the unreasonable amount of time you spent making that decision. I've spent a lot of time determining which order I think the narnia books should go in. 8y
readinginthedark These are good decisions--and well-wasted time, in my opinion! 8y
Eyelit I need to reread Promethea - I remember liking that series 8y
LauraBeth I completely relate to this 8y
CrowCAH Wow, so many series with fifth books!!! 😊 8y
TobeyTheScavengerMonk @batsy When I was in middle school I memorized all the prophecy poems in these books! Book geek for life! 8y
TobeyTheScavengerMonk @Chassie I've been rereading them for the first time since elementary school and having a blast! 8y
TobeyTheScavengerMonk @aeeklund @Eyelit I sing the praises of Promethea on Litsy every chance I get! 8y

This is the #5thbookinaseries starring the awesome Meg Langslow. Kooky characters and wacky situations are guaranteed in these mysteries. This one takes place at a fan-con - I believe there may have been pirates, and there were definitely parrots and a sword fight. 🗡

CrowCAH Sounds cute; a cozy mystery! And I love how the animals play a key role! 👍🏻 8y
mabell @CrowCAH It is such a fun series. Highly recommend! 8y

Gotta give some love to one of my favorite spy thriller series with the #5thbookinaseries. #pirateslife #whatawaytolive (photo from Goodreads, since I only have Kindle editions).

CrowCAH I don't read thrillers, but I just listened to a James Patterson thriller last year and enjoyed it. I might have to try a Daniel Silva, since you enjoy it so much! 8y
Andrew65 This was the first book I read in this series and was immediately hooked. 8y

One False Move | Harlan Coben

#5thbookinaseries The Myron Bolitar Series by Harlan Coben is one series I never tire of, this fifth book in the series got 5 stars, and the ending was quite key for what happened in later books. Myron Bolitar's humour can always make me laugh out loud no matter where I am! And you've got to love Win!

CrowCAH Sounds interesting; a mystery thriller series, relating to sports, not a subject I focus on! Glad you found a great series! 😊 8y
Andrew65 @CrowCAH The sports part isn't really prominent in the book, it is more about the mystery / crime element. My wife hates sports but loves this series. (edited) 8y

#WhatAWayToLive #PiratesLife

I'm currently making my way through the Dark Tower series, and #5thbookinaseries is sort of confusing for me. I'm reading in chronological order, which means for me the 5th book is my current read, The Wind Through the Keyhole. But, that one was published last, so in published order book 5 is Wolves of the Calla. 😜

Whichever is correct, I freaking love this series!

#DarkTowerReadalong

TrishB Wind through the Keyhole came out after the series had finished I always call it 4(b)! Can be read after 4 or at the end. If I had the choice I would have read after 4! 8y
sprainedbrain @TrishB that's what I'm doing! 😃 8y
TrishB It's an amazing series 😀 8y

sprainedbrain @TrishB yes! I can't believe I put it off all of these years. 8y
TobeyTheScavengerMonk I'm having the same dilemma with Book 5 of Narnia. Reading order or publishing order? 8y
sprainedbrain @TobeyTheScavengerMonk I read those in publishing order... and that's how I have them lined up on the shelf. 😂 8y
CrowCAH Lol, published or chronological order, it can get confusing, especially for the Horatio Hornblower series where the first in time is actually the eighth published. Are you going to watch The Dark Tower TV series show? 8y
sprainedbrain @CrowCAH oh, I should read Horatio! I so loved that series back in the day. 😃 I am definitely planning to see the Dark Tower movie in August. That trailer is awesome!! 8y
Zelma @TrishB is correct. Wind Through the Keyhole is technically Book 4.5, signifying that it's a novella as well as it's spot in the series. 8y

This was the first book in Louise Penny's series that I read. I was a reader for Barnes & Noble's Recommends choices back when they spotlighted a book every so often. Later started at #1, and reread this when I got to it. It made so much more sense! One of my favorite series. AND LISTEN UP! IF YOU'RE ON EDELWEISS, THEY ADDED HER NEXT BOOK, GLASS HOUSES (#13)! I downloaded it this morning. #whatawaytolive #pirateslife #5thbookinaseries

CrowCAH Lol it does help to read the previous books before the 5th one, but a good writer should recap for those who pick up a latter book, without reading the previous ones. Glad you found a great series! 😁 8y
Bookworm83 I did this same thing, @Suzze . That's how I discovered her books, too and I'm so glad I did! 8y
