pickGod how I love a memoir told through individual vignettes illustrative of large parts of the writer‘s life! When it‘s done well, as Dave has, it has more emotional impact for me. And Dave is quite the storyteller!! I love how he is a nerd and the ultimate fan of other musicians. I adore his fierce love of his daughters. And I respect how kindly he treated his band mates and friends in this memoir.

peaKnit I am a huge fan, and it‘s been sad with Taylor‘s passing wondering what is next for them. No doubt, Dave will have a plan but I think it may involve reinvention, like after Nirvana ended. This book was wonderful. He is a great storyteller, his HBO series Sonic Highways tells stories of music by state of region, highly recommend, as well as his paramount series with his mom , Cradle to Stage. 2y

I‘m very interested to see what he does next, and I really feel for him losing Taylor because they seemed so close. Very hard for fans as well. 2y
Suet624 I‘m a huge fan of the Foos and of Dave and of Taylor. I feel as if I haven‘t fully recovered from Taylor‘s death. For years I‘ve watched a Foo Fighters video almost daily. I have Dave‘s book but as is my way I have it stacked right where I can see it but not yet ready to read it. Because once I do, it will be done. 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️❤️ (edited) 2y
