For today's #AdventRecommeds I give you...the book I refused to read when everyone was talking about it only to pick it up at random while it was less popular.

I HATE the cover. I can't use buttons anymore because it weirds me out now. The book? Was it tough to read? Yes. Is it triggering for some? Absolutely yes. Are there scenes I wish I never read? Scarred for life. Could I stop listening? Fuck No!

Was it worth it? Hell yes

This was one of my favourite books of the year, a crime drama set against the backdrop of Nazi Germany in 1939. I love it when you go into a book not knowing what to expect and fall totally in love with it.

#adventrecommeds Day 4: one of my absolute favorite YA books. I‘ve read this multiple times since middle school and still love it every time.

The Snowy Day is my favorite children‘s book. I loved it as a kid (I so wanted a red coat). And one can never go wrong with ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas. Such a classic poem.
