After 36 hours exactly we are back up and running! Crews are still working very hard to clear the downed tree down the street but with minimal damage otherwise, warm blankets, BBQ for hot meals and food to cook we know how fortunate we were through this compared to others who fared out much worse. Time soon for a hot shower and then sorting out the casualities from my fridge and freezer. Small price to pay though so I won't complain! Happy Sunday!

TheLudicReader My daughter lives in Halifax and I think they got off pretty easy. Still no power, but safe and sound…not like our neighbours in Cape Breton and PEI and Nfld. Glad you are okay. 2y

FantasyChick @TheLudicReader I think we are all very lucky here. I spoke too soon and our power is back out but the crews are hard at work and the phone lines are back up now. I havent seen many updates but my thoughts are greatly with NFLD right now. It's devastating for sure!! 2y

ShelleyBooksie Glad you are OK @FantasyChick . Hope your power comes back soon. My friend in the military was just telling me they are going to be deployed to NL and PEI to assist with clean up. 2y

FantasyChick @ShelleyBooksie Thank you! And that's good to hear! I know Port au Basque is in a state of emergency now but not sure how PEI fared. I can imagine there is going to be a lot of people needing help after this. The amount of flooding and wind damage must be horrific. 2y

I had to DNF this. I only made it about 10% through the audiobook. I was warned it was a lot, so I‘m not disappointed in myself. I think what made me stop, besides the copious sexual assault, is the treatment of all the female characters. If they aren‘t Skye or her sister, they are horrible people. Just too much nope. I‘m not rating the book as I did not read that much. Sadly it was 2 #bookspinbingo slots.

I love Lyndsay Sands highlander books. They‘re hilarious and nonstop fun. This book had so many bosom incidents that I was cracking up constantly. I loved both Dwyn and Geordie. The theme of a bride in danger continues in this book and I love how all the Buchanan family members make an appearance.

Got a little square going on my #bookspinbingo board. Again this just has a little too much going wrong for me. 🤣 it‘s alright but I‘d like to find other highland stories with different plots. These are all so far that people want to kill them. Again not bad, and good sexy scenes, just want something else.
Working on a couple books that I can hopefully finish while I‘m waiting for COVID results.

Ash.on.the.line @KateReadsYA hi 😊 so this is a monthly challenge hosted by @TheAromaofBooks she has the rules posted on her page if you want a full explanation look for the bingo board... but basically you make a list for #bookspin of 20 books and she picks 2 numbers and yours supposed to read one or both of the books that correspond with the numbers. The bingo part is just for more encouraged reading you put that list of books you numbered into a bingo board 3y

Ash.on.the.line That you can then read and try to score a bingo. You can have 5 free spaces or fill them with more books from your TBR. Again this is my very shortened version and thearomaofbooks has much better info on her page. 😄 I hope I kind of explained it well lol! @KateReadsYA 3y

TheAromaofBooks @KateReadsYA - I will add you to January's tag list so you will be sure to be notified!! The BookSpin & DoubleSpin are the two “official“ numbers that I draw each month. Some people don't want to do the Bingo part, so they only read those two books. 3y

TheAromaofBooks @KateReadsYA - So technically what happens is I put those two numbers back in the bowl & then draw out all the numbers & fill in the bingo card as I go so that each month there is a randomized bingo board with the BookSpin/DoubleSpin numbers mixed in. But since the only prize for completing your bingo board is a feeling of accomplishment, some people prefer to make their own boards in their own way & it's all good with me!! 😂 3y
