Final #roll100 read for Feb and also scored a line in #bookspinbingo recovering from surgery and not being able to do anything has its advantages as gives me lots of reading time!

Really enjoyed this, loved the prose, and there were a couple of twists that I did not see coming. Really interesting subject too.

I finally made my February #BookSpinBingo board!

And, for the first time ever, I had a bingo on my board. January turned out to be a good reading month for me.

I really wasn't deliberately avoiding a #BookSpinBingo, but at this point, it's too funny -- I'm trying to keep it up until any book I read would be an inevitable bingo.

Drake Hall is the second book in a series; I enjoyed the first book, but wondered how it was going to handle Edith's Jewish heritage (if at all), whether it was just using it for exoticisation purposes, etc, given that she's very Christian. This book somewhat answered that worry.

Crap on a cracker! I have to say this is the best book I've read all year, and I seriously doubt any book will top it. There was so much. Ugh! I can't tell you about it because I will ruin it. OK! OK! I received The Writer from J. D. Barker!! He wrote it with James Patterson. In all honesty, I thought it probably wouldn't be that good because the last couple of books I've read from Patterson haven't been up to par to me. This one,⬇️

MonicaLoves2Read though! Good Grief, it's a book that needs like 100/100 stars. I wish I could discuss it with someone who has read it. Do yourself a favor: pre-order it, beg your library to get it, or be waiting at your bookstore when it comes out on March 17, 2025. Just get it and read it!! It's soo good! I never saw that coming. The way they left it. Ugh! 2d

Pretty sure this author hated Pride and Prejudice. I felt generally icky about the whole thing by the end.

One more books from this month's #bookspinbingo list complete. I love this series, and am only one book away from being caught up with it ... at least until the next one comes out

Book 5 didn‘t move the mystery along as much as I would have liked. Hopefully the final book not only clears things up but does it in a way that doesn‘t feel rushed.

As a woman, wife, and mother, I will be thinking about this one for a while. The brutal rape of a 14 y/o Mexican girl rocks a community in 1976 Odessa, Texas. It‘s a time where women had few options and not much was expected of them, other than being good wives and mothers. Told from multiple POVs, all strong women and girls, and all great characters. The setting itself is written so strongly that it‘s like a character too.

Julsmarshall This one stuck with me as well. 3d
