I know he's a sadistic murderer, but I just can't help but really love the character of Hannibal Lecter. I'm not quite sure what that says about me... 😂

My dirty secret is that I love Cersei from The Song of Ice and Fire series. 😍 And I'm always so torn about it, because there are so many reasons to hate her! But I guess I love how she is fearless and kind of brutal, making her mark in a man's world. 🦁 💕 She's certainly not my favorite character (Targaryen pride!), but I do really just love her to pieces!

Havelock Vetinari, the Lord Patrician of Ankk-Morpork should be everything I despise, unelected ruler, arch manipulator, calculating politician, trained assassin. He is one of Pratchett's best characters. Some of his exchanges with Vimes are among the best in the Discworld. Night Watch is one of my favourite of his appearances.

Fascinating mini audio doc about true crime — our interest in it and why that matters.

I wouldn‘t say I loved or hated the wife in this marriage, but she was hard to love because of her choices when her husband was wrongly accused. The whole story was unsettling, which reflects well on the author bc I believe that‘s what she intended. And it worked.

#GratefulReads Day 11: This thin novella has #CharacterYouHateToLove. A single mother and her young son have just moved to a small, seemingly-remote town in Norway where people seem to know everybody else. The boy who is about to celebrate his 9th birthday is convinced that his mother has something special planned out for him; while the mother has seemed to have completely forgotten about it.
