It had a touch of Kipling's influence. I thought so, anyway. I enjoyed it, but it didn't give me the warmth of The Railway Children. Thanks for choosing these books for us, @TheBookHippie #ChildrensClassicRead2025

I started this middle grade read today, and I think it‘s going to be perfect for December. It‘s been on my shelf a long time, but I‘m just now finally picking it up for the children‘s classic read with @TheBookHippie
📷: Luthien just came in from running in the snow and had a bath. Now, she and La Gata are ready to snuggle in for the evening.

My last book of November, completed tonight for #ChildrensClassicRead2025 Its age (published in 1901) shows it the storytelling & some of the 8 stories were not that great, but I liked a few & it was mildly enjoyable so I‘ll give it a soft pick for nostalgia. 🐉💚

Spending my #HyggeHour on the couch finishing up my last book of November for #ChildrensClassicRead2025 🐉
I‘m (sadly) starting my last bag of stuffing popcorn🍿😢 & drinking a spiced pear Hint water (one of their holiday flavors).🍐
Mood is really not at all ready for Monday & a new busy workweek. 😵💫

Here‘s an article about the Maple Syrup Farm & Museum that @Suet624 told us about!

I‘m behind on all my buddy reads ( lol although I‘m 1/2 way thru our Dec‘s book!) I‘m starting November‘s on serial reader.
I LOVE E. Nesbit 🦋🦋🦋

1/2 way through this sweet story. I‘m glad their Dad is healing in the countryside 🦋 🌳 🐭 🌺
There are magic & miracles in nature 💚
Love that it‘s loosely based on the authors‘ own history.

Finished for #ChildrensClassicRead2025 I‘m sure I read this back in middle school but revisiting it in October was perfect for the season. I meant to reread The Crucible as a companion, but ran out of time. Amazing what havoc a group of young girls started, perpetuated by the patriarchy & resulting in the unnecessary imprisonment, ruin & death of so many. Jackson breaks in down in a way that is accessible to all.

This was the perfect Halloween read. I also found it quite timely, which made it even spookier.
