More than halfway through! I am having to read this with a dictionary at hand because there are many words I am unfamiliar with, and some that apparently don't even exist. 'Waffeting', I am looking at you.

What incredible writing. I heard Mantel interviewed on CBC The Next Chapter and she is brilliant.

It did take me a while to get started and figure out what the heck was going on. Now I am all in! May the #conqueringcromwell continue...

Start Wolf Hall.

I finally finished Wolf Hall!! I started this back in March (I think?) as part of the #ConqueringCromwell buddy read and clearly was not successful. There were too many characters and threads to keep track of, it all just ended up much too complex for me. I won‘t be continuing with the series but am happy I did read this one as the writing was quite excellent.

Final book for my #DashingDecember goal!

Somehow I have the living room to myself. So classical Christmas on the Pandora and diving back into Wolf Hall. #conqueringcromwell

Keeping my goals simple - I want to finally finish Wolf Hall (which I started during the #ConqueringCromwell buddy read...) and finish my two library holds that I can‘t renew.

I‘ve been distracted with other reads, so back to this amazing book. I think I‘m dragging my heels as I know how it ends from reading history. 🪓🩸🩸 😭 #conqueringcromwell

Finally #conqueringcromwell Incredibly detailed ,you feel you are there.Lush description gives you a feeling of what it was like to live in Tudor times , political & religious intrigue, fates changed in a moment by a king who would rather disrupt the religious order of England than stay married to his wife , with Cromwell as his chief enabler .Not a light read , by any means, you must jump in & become immersed in it.Beware the sweating sickness.😱
