The soul is the ultimate human mystery.

Another interesting little book. This one explores the many different beliefs about the soul. A lot of nice illustrations. Fairly quick read.

We finished reading chapter 6 of @neildegrassetyson's ASTROPHYSICS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN A HURRY today, and we weren't going to skip an opportunity to make "The Universe as Hot Cocoa"! ☕? 68% dark energy (hot cocoa), 27% dark matter (whipped cream), and 5% regular matter (cinnamon).

I got so behind this month I didn‘t post my review of this gorgeous & fascinating sequel by the wife of the late Carl Sagan. I‘ve been watching the series & this book is a great companion. Druyan explains the concepts of space & time in a way that makes them interesting & understandable to non-scientific me & the photos are stunning. I paired the book with a recipe for Apple-Cranberry Cosmo (get it?) for my book tour review. Review/recipe link👇🏻

This book was great. This is a biography that was published in 2014. This book is aimed more towards younger crowds due to the many illustrations and the explanations throughout the book, but no one is too young or two old to be intrigued/drawn in by this book.
The book is about a little boy who's name is Carl. He loves the sky and concepts of space, stars, and comparing how big the sun is to our small planets. He also shows interest in planets.

em_lemo My favorite line throughout this book has to be the beginning. In the beginning, one is greeted with the sun and the planets that are around and closest to it, and then continues to narrow the places to Brooklyn, NY; which is were Carl lives.
“Carl was curious about everything.“
This follows the introduction, but sets up the readers for a hint about what he may be curious about.
