Degrowth ≠ Capitalism

...but can it occur under capitalism?

A just redistribution of resources...

Not your grandfather's Marx. My head is now stuffed full of degrowth communism and participatory socialism, among other well-explained concepts, but what really comes through is Saitō's determination to breakdown long-standing outdated misconceptions about Marxist philosophy, about previous ill-conceived applications and views of communism, 1/?

And if capital formation were to fall exclusively into the hands of a few existing big capitals, for whom the mass of profit outweighs the rate, the animating fire of production would be totally extinguished. It would die out.”

Referred to as supply side economics for progressives. An indictment of government bureaucracy and regulation the stymie or progress and leave us wanting despite our abundance. How we used to build in our past and how, through often good intentions, regulated ourselves to a country that can‘t get things done, or if we do and at tremendous cost.

Great read, especially timely. Jam packed with information about Amazon, their practices, and the global, far reaching implications. Borrrowed from my library, this was written by a indie bookstore owner who has a clear perspective and strong opinions about the best way to fight back against the shady dealings and secretive data mining they Amazon has perfected. Also, going to exclusively track my books in storygraph next yr, no more goodreads.

I love my Apple products. And, between covering the innovation, materials, scalability, Chinese factories, US-China politics, high skilled workers, economic and political strategy, and Apple policies, McGee has written a compelling, terrifying, engaging, and interesting book. I loved it.
