Getting a late start on this months photo challenge. Even though temps are still warm and sunny in California it is no longer summer hot and its #finallyfall

Kendare Blake's dark, slightly creepy tales are the perfect thing to read now that it's #finallyfall. Today in particular, these plus a roaring fire have been the perfect complement to the storm outside. #FallIntoReading
Considering it‘s already snowed multiple times where I live, I‘d say we skipped right over fall and are heading into winter! Nonetheless, I snapped this photo of Patches in the leaves a week ago 🐶🍁

As the leaves fall from his favorite tree, Fletcher begins to worry that there is something is terribly wrong. But when winter comes with a wonderful surprise her realizes that everything is not only okay… it‘s beautiful!
This is another classroom favorite. The illustrations are lovely.

Kya grows up in isolation in the marsh of N.C. and has to define love and family on her terms after facing abandonment. A love story, murder procedural, and coming of age. It‘s a story about place, #home, kindness, cruelty, and identity, I found it to be lovingly told and a very fast read. loved jumpin and Mabel. Photo from my #home where it is #finallyfall. Grateful for natural beauty. #fallintoreading #gratitude30

Driving home today I actually saw real red leaves on the odd tree-not seen brilliant colors this season until today. Actually was in the 60‘s last two days, so warmth must have been what those scattered reds needed. 🍁🍁

I am so grateful for the colors that emerged today & my porch! 💕💕
I'm so glad it's #FinallyFall !! It's the time I most look forward to every year. We don't really take actual vacations, but instead attend the Celtic Festival. It's usually held one of the last weekends of October, so we attended this past Saturday and Sunday. It was a blast and we got to hear one of our favorite Celtic bands, Albannach, play ❤❤❤ These are some pics we took of the group.

I hate football. So, although it‘s #finallyfall it‘s also finally nearing the end of football season locally. My son, Jerry is the director of the city sports league and a coach for city JV. My grandson Carter plays for that team. My granddaughter Kennedy cheers for the flag football team. And my grandson Caleb plays for the varsity high school team. They made the playoffs (yay them!) but the season ends soon. Thank goodness. #fallintoreading
