#AugustGrrrl #GreatestLoveOfAll I skipped yesterday's prompt.😱Pride and Prejudice is my favorite Austen novel (& I love me some Darcy+Lizzy)💜but Persuasion is right up there with it. I find it's the better love story as it's a mature, 2nd-chance love-where Anne Elliot grows & learns to love & respect herself & she & Captain Wentworth don't lose their love for each other over the years. To me their love is the greatest of all of Austen's works.❤️

I remember loving this book but being bowled over by the film adaptation. Definitely a tear jerker and a great love story.
It's debatable whether this tells the #greatestloveofall, but the tragic story of these two star-crossed lovers has certainly been adapted to so many stage, film, musical, and opera.
