Anna Karenina | Leon Tolstoi

I've told myself this is the Winter I read Anna Karenina. I've had the Audible version w/ Maggie Gyllenhaal for ages. I have Kindle edition as well so I can switch back and forth. My Goal is to finish by First Day of Spring. Yet to do the math on Chapters/Pages a Week to make that happen. Also need to listen #reecesbookclub choice in January. Going to need lighter fare of #parasolversereadalong for break from serious. #audiokindleandprint 📚

Suet624 Good luck!!! 6y
Insightsintobooks I loved Anna Karenina. Good luck! 6y
WanderingBookaneer I posted this book in my #LiterarySins post. I also have the Gyllenhaal version. I may give it a shot later. Reese‘s January pick is amazing! I borrowed it from the library and ended up buying my own copy. 6y

mrsmarch I‘ve not read Moby-Dick. Or Anna Karenina. Or Les Mis but I read The Count of Monte Cristo in hs French class. I‘ve read the Brothers Karamazov (speaking of Russian classics) but none of the rest. (edited) 6y
Readergrrl I keep hearing that I‘d love this novel, but I just run the other way! 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️ 6y
pepsicola I have read Les Misrebles🖤 6y
pepsicola @mrsmarch you should read it though 💙 6y
mrsmarch @that.aint.happenin.sista I might try to tackle it this year! If it‘s on @SerialReader I‘m down. 6y
JackOBotts Les Mis, Crime & Punishment, and many more...🤷🏻‍♀️📚 6y
pepsicola @mrsmarch you should💙🖤 6y
HKGirl I've never read any Russian classics 😳 But I'm fixing that soon--starting a buddy read of The Brothers Karamazov later this month 6y
Lcsmcat I have not read War and Peace, or Ulysses. 6y
megnews I haven‘t read any of those either and lots of others. I like some classics but when I try to push myself to read more, it usually turns out I don‘t like classics very much. Sometimes I feel guilty for this but life is too short and there are too many books, to read things I don‘t enjoy. 6y
EleniKara I had to put down Les Mis (May pick it up again one day), have not read a lot of Russian classics (though planning on it), and always missed the classes where they read 1984 because my teachers always wanted to do something different so need to read that. 6y
JSW I‘ve tried Moby Dick about a billion times and just can‘t. 6y
Sharpeipup I‘ve read 2 of the 3 but never Moby Dick. 6y
Zelma I‘ve never read Jane Eyre. 😳 no reason, just haven‘t gotten to it yet. 6y
Bklover War and Peace. But this is the year! Really. For sure. 😳 6y
Notafraidofwords A tree grows in Brooklyn. 6y
LapReader Haven‘t read any Austen. 6y
Megara I haven‘t read To Kill A Mockingbird because I watched the movie and loathed hearing what I thought was a great story from a child‘s perspective. 😬😬😬 I seek absolution for these sins. Haha 6y
Megara @TheBookDream I‘ve confessed! 6y
SconsinBookyBadger I‘ve never read anything of Jane Austen or the chunksters Vanity Fair, and Anna Karenina. I‘m sure there‘s plenty more but these are what came to mind. 6y
CarolynM Too many to name. I prefer to focus on what I have read. 6y
TheBookDream @Megara 😭😭😭😭I love the movie and the book! 6y
