First reread in ~7 years and 1st read in English. THG was ahead of its time and it still holds up. It‘s interesting how my taste has changed, I like the ending of #Mockingjay a lot more and I understand a lot better why Peeta was the best choice for Katniss. I hope THG will soon get the renaissance it deserves.

I really wanted to like this, but it just never drew me in. Too slow to start, and then too rushed in its conclusion. While it was fun to see some concrete connections to the Panem we know, to speculate on the fates and futures of a few characters, and trace (some) of the evolution of the Games, I just didn't enjoy this overall, and I know I won't return to it on future series rereads. #hungergames #mockingjay
