Book 1 came in! And tbh, I thought my dinner would take a little longer to come out…
This veggie burger (from a fish & chip shop) exceeded my expectations (I‘m extremely picky about veggie burgers maybe even slightly impossible about them 😇) would order again!

Kristen Britain brings to life a world of magical messengers and ancient evil. The world-building was so subtly woven into the story, that it slowly drew me in without even realizing it. If you are a fan of high fantasy novels that scale down the politics and focus more on character development, this is the series for you.

LMPBC Fantasy options: I pulled a pile because I know you are all voracious readers ❤️ if none of these work I have more…

Yesterday my prize from the #RoaringWolf challenge came in. Thank you so much @Littlewolf1 @Roary47 I'm really looking forward to reading this book and the bookmark is fantastic 🐉

🎧 This read like a comfy childhood classic the likes of Black Beauty, The Secret Garden, etc. I hear it reads older in subsequent books sort of like the Harry Potter series & because of this it was an easy read.
Fun action & I liked the MC. The magic & supernatural aspects were woven carefully into the story & felt, natural. I was pleasantly surprised by the first ghostly encounter. I found it delightful. I look forward to book 2.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/4

I‘m rereading this series again BECAUSE THE SEVENTH BOOK COMES OUT THIS MONTH. I started this in middle school, y‘all (for reference, I‘m almost 30). It has been a whole-ass commitment to follow along, and you know I have a rule about not starting a series unless all the books are out (probably because of this one)! I‘ve reread it many times because it‘s so comforting and familiar, much like HP. Read it. 10/10

1. I‘m partial to Definitely Maybe, because it‘s what spurred me to start collecting different editions of Pride and Prejudice.
2. Yes, all the Green Rider series books; this need to be made into a movie or TV show!
Thanks @Eggs for the tag!

Decided to showcase this book one of the Green Rider series, because I started listening to the second book today. A believable fantasy series which pulls you in and stays long in your memory.
It sure is windy in Michigan today! #MittenLitten

I absolutely love this series! If you need to get away on an adventure this is the book! Apparently my cat loves it too!

I can‘t tell you why exactly I inevitably return to the Green Rider series. I‘ve reread this series more times than I can count and I never get tired of Karigan‘s adventures. Maybe it‘s because it was the first adult fantasy novel I devoured on one of my family‘s road trips. Who knows? But I love even listening to Ellen Archer read it to me. #greenrider #audiobooks #kristenbritain

@OriginalCyn620 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

Pictured are the first two books from the Green Rider series. As an equestrian this should be no surprise that this series is in my top 20. Even if you took away the horses it is still a great series.
#20Series20Days @Andrew65

As Terry Goodkind says, “a truly enjoyable read.”
This was a great adventure, great nostalgia (published in the 90s - and it reads like a comfy blanket), great relationship and friendship and good versus evil... And, overall, just a satisfying read.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I read the audiobook in March when the hard copy was waitlisted at the library, and I just got it. I LOVE this story. The flawed heroine, the plot, the action, the depth of the characters. Pulled me in and held me hostage until I discovered what happened next. Great adventure! Where was this book when I was younger?! First in a series, and I've started book Two.

🧦Sweaters and sweatshirts are my favorite accessories... wait. That‘s not an accessory is it. 😂 So then... socks! (Does that count?)
🌵 lol yep. I live in the desert. I‘ve also been many other places that are also desert. 😁 Tho none terribly exciting... yet! 🏜⛰🏠
📚I‘m reading the tagged book, and I‘m quite enjoying it!! (For which I‘m again grateful to @TheSpineView 😘)

Making good time listening to this #Audiobook!
Can‘t wait to discuss it with @Cadyly , @VioletCavalier , and our friend Melissa. (Who we‘ll have to get in Litsy!)

When ALL the #Audiobooks come in at the same time! Already have two started; going to finish one before embarking on this journey!

#fivefingerstack Thanks @annkuch13 for tagging me.
👍Book I liked: Green Rider by Kristen Britain
☝️Book I always recommend: A Fine and Private Place by Peter S. Beagle
👎Book I didn't like: Nemisis by Isaac Asimov
💍 Character I'd marry: Aragorn from Lord of the Ring, The Return of the King
🤙Pinky promise I'll read soon: Ulysses by James Joyce, for my Dad a Joyce fan.

Book 5 of the year, finished Jan 19, audio
Ahh, here's my cozy place. A standard fantasy novel with horses and swords and magic and a main character shoved into an adventure they didn't want.
This was one of my favorites when it came out 20some years ago, but I haven't read it in a good 15 years so it was practically new again. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

I‘m enjoying this story but it has a definite Lord of the Rings vibe. It‘s hard not to view Karigan as Female Frodo.

Thank you for the tag, @Librarybelle 😁
To play along, all you have to do is post a picture of a book cover you love each day for 7 days, no explanation needed. You can also nominate others you think would like participate as well.
Today I‘m nominating the wonderful @BookDragonNotWorm 🐉

I‘m a little late for the #30junebooks party being run by the wonderful @howjessreads 😳 But considering that my last name is Green, how could I not participate today, considering that the June 5th prompt is #greenbooks?! 💚📗📚

Congrats on your milestone @Mitch 💖💖 I'm a few books into the Green Rider series, and am loving it. It's my first foray into High Fantasy, and is not something I would normally pick up. But a friend gave me the first book & I'm into it!

Today's #riotgrams is favorite female character. Karigan G'ladheon has been my favorite ever since I found the first Green Rider book in the school library back in seventh grade. I adore these books and this character and all the crazy things she gets caught up in! If you haven't read them yet, you definitely should!
So excited to continue this today!
Fear, she realized, propelled her forward, not courage, and certainly not just duty to king and country. Fear.

Picked up these two beauties a couple days ago. It's ridiculously hard to not buy books when you are surrounded by them all day.

My best friend recommended this beauty to me years ago and it has been an excellent companion! Karigan is a wonderful heroine and my love for her grows through the years! Here's to the spunky women! #Karigan #KristenBritain

This book was suggested to me by my very best friend in the world. It was definitely a book that I got through quickly without realizing it. While it doesn't end in a cliffhanger, I still wanted to know more! It's a pick for me! #fantasy #kristenbritain #greenrider

Today's #riotgrams is #favoritecover and I had to pick Green Rider. I have been obsessed with this cover and story since I found it in the school library 13 years ago. And book 6 comes out next week!!!

My book haul for the last couple of weeks. I still have three more boxes of books coming. I think I have a problem. 😂

#funfridayphoto time! In this #shelfie are two of my eight shelves of fantasy books! The top shelf is my favorites shelf (minus Wheel of Time which has its own shelf) and the bottom shelf is fantasy I'm most eager to pick up next!

Our Chapters haul today... Bought the Name of the Wind for a book exchange I'm going to be a part of. Going to be sending it off to someone. Pretty excited! My partner picked up Green Rider moments after I was eyeing it up from afar. Don't know much about it apart from the cover synopsis, going in blind again! 😳

About to start the blind date with a book that I got from B&N earlier this week and I can't believe my good luck that everyone else in our home is quietly enjoying stories of their own😍 #hellooctober #mykindofsunday #familyreadingday
So good! Highly recommend to any fantasy fan, especially of the sword and sorcery variety. Kristen Britain brings something original and fresh to the genre. The characters are engaging (even secondary ones) and the plot so gripping that your book hangover will propel you to the bookstore for the next in the series.

Filed under: Books I haven't committed to buying YET, but that I'm interested in reading.
