This series is really good. The narrators are very good. This one even has Helen Mirren narrating a part. It has suspense, comedy.

I found the premise an interesting one - Moriarty and Holmes have survived the Reichenbach Falls incident and are now back in London (though it seems that Holmes is giving Moriarty some leeway and does not really appear in this book). This book mainly sees the runnings of the London underworld through Moriarty's eyes.
The plot was a little slow for me though there was a lot of atmosphere surrounding the story.

Day 8 of #MarchMadness #LikableVillain - TV series Moriarty is twisted in an uncomfortably likable way.
He‘s unpredictable and that‘s always intriguing!

[March08] The picture (taken from Pinterest) says it all why #Moriarty is a #LikableVillain. He's the only one who is as smart as Sherlock if not smarter, since Doyle initially created him to kill off Sherlock.

"Every fairytale needs a good old-fashioned villain. You need me, or you're nothing." - Moriarty to Sherlock

somebooksaround Yesss! Same here!! He‘s quick, theatric, wild and sneaky! Gotta love it! 7y
batsy Andrew Scott did the character so well, I thought! That slippery creepy factor, and the showy drama. 7y
thereadingowlvina @batsy Agree! The character definitely shines through. He gives me mixed feelings about Moriarty. Sometimes I adore him and sometimes I loathe him 😅 7y

Anyone who is avid fan of Conan Doyle‘s great detective will find this a strange read. As the title suggests, it is less about Holmes and more about Professor Moriarty. However, the real lead in this book is a woman who falls for the professor even as he succumbs to her charms. Having written Holmes novels, I bring a certain bias to my reading. The book is fine on its merits but when measured against the Canon, it just seems a very odd fit.

Richryan52 @DarcysMom The story was Ok but not at all what I was expecting. Unfortunately, I am hampered by my bias as a writer of Holmes‘ tales (edited) 7y
DarcysMom @Richryan52 Thanks - I will move it down my TBR. 7y
Richryan52 @DarcysMom Love to know what you think of my work. And you might like Moriarty. She has a good strong female lead. It just was t what I was expecting 7y
