I‘ve been interested in the Dyatlov Pass Incident since I first heard about it. What happened to them?
This book explores what happened, tells their story, and comes to the most likely conclusion. Definitely recommend! #dyatlovpass #deadmountain #historical

I thought this book took an interesting approach to understanding more about who people are and how they act. Listening to their speech can tell you a lot.

Before this book, I had no understanding or real knowledge of the oppressive Pinochet dictatorship that ruled Chile throughout the 80s. How the author compares what happened during that time to the show The Twilight Zone and relates it to current events is interesting. It was absolutely an interesting read! #thetwilightzone #chile #translated

I was hoping for more from this book.
It takes a historical look at one ‘medium‘ in pre-WWII England. While the science is interesting and it‘s unique to see how the paranormal went to more pseudoscience, it was overall bland.

I don‘t know how to feel about this book. It was faced paced, but the main character got on my nerves. I just don‘t know if it lived up to all the hype it had.

Reagan I think my least favourite of his books so far. I agree about the main character. (edited) 2y

This book took me an incredibly long time to read; not just because it‘s about 500 pages.
It‘s extremely interesting how globalization has been around since the first recorded voyage in 1492. The impacts of that first voyage are very interesting to see and the world would be an entirely different place without it.

It‘s hard to put into words how good this book was. Maria is a 14 year old resistance member in Poland during the Nazi regime. She is caught and tortured, taken to Auschwitz where her family is killed. In her story there are amazing, real, people. The author put so much thought and research into this novel. Recommend.

I thought that the idea behind this book was great. Cults are very nuanced, especially in this day and age. However, she uses an incredible amount of words I need a dictionary to look up (and heavily rely on context clues). #cultish #cult #nonfiction

I don‘t run. I‘ve never wanted to run. But after reading this I do.
I thought this book would be some boring book about running. Surprise, it‘s not. It‘s about an adventure in the Mexican desert to discover an elusive tribe of ancient running people, a secret race, and the man that makes it all possible.

This book was incredibly interesting.
I do think the title is misplaced; it features Ness‘ hunt for the Butcher, but the book focuses on Ness‘ life after Chicago and the work he did in Cleveland.
Ness had a modern idea of what policy should be and his aspirations are what we should seek police to be today.

The horrors these young women went through, the blatant disregard for human life the companies showed, how long it took for the public and medical community to accept and acknowledge what was happening - it‘s astounding. I cannot believe I had never learned about these events.

I really don‘t know what to rate this book.
The story is interesting; they put a lot of research and work into it, and eventually figure out who the man from the train might have been.
On the other hand, it isn‘t my favorite writing style, and with so many murders mentioned, it‘s really hard to keep track of who is who.
