It's Friday! Are you ready to start our monthly #NetGalleyGroup readathon?

Share your goals for the weekend.
Connect with other #ARC readers.
Do you have an end of year goal?

All are welcome to join us. Please let me know if you wish to be added/removed from the taglist.

AllDebooks I'm concentrating on reviews this month. If I have time, I may start the Vivienne Westwood biography. 2h
sebrittainclark I'm behind on reviews, so I want to catch up. 2h

rubyslippersreads Like the rest of you, I need to catch up on reviews. 2h
ShananigansReads I‘m just behind on reading. The library holds are coming in fast and furious. New releases I‘ve been waiting for are dropping left and right and I haven‘t touched an ARC in way too long. 1h
DGRachel I do my reviews as I finish the books, so like @ShananigansReads I‘m just behind on the actual reading. I started the month with a plan to keep up with new due dates and then decided I was tired of stress-reading. I started an ARC that publishes next March and took a leisurely 11 days to read it. It was glorious and I missed the pub date for 2 more books. My goal for the weekend is to start another ARC. Maybe. 🤔 49m
mcipher I‘m so behind on reviews! Also behind on books (library holds and new shiny books keep distracting me) but I keep letting the reviews stack up because it‘s not as fun as reading 😝 29m

A quick reminder of September's #NetGalleyGroup monthly readathon, starting this Friday. I will check in on Friday as to your goals for the weekend.

All are welcome to join us. Please let me know if you wish to be added/removed from the taglist.

@LitsyEvents

PuddleJumper I'll skip this month. I'm traveling home that weekend and won't get much chance to read 3d
Librarybelle I cannot believe we‘re already at the NetGalley weekend! I have to find the list I created last month—must have stuck it with receipts somewhere!—but will have a plan in place soon!! 3d

Two more ARCs done and two in progress (I think I‘m starting a fun romance kick). If I didn‘t keep getting new books from NetGalley, I‘d be making progress on my ARC reading goals 😅 #netgalley #netgalleygroup

AllDebooks Lol, I know how that goes! 📚📚📚📚 Pleased to have you with us. I'll add you to the taglist. 😀 4w
janeycanuck I‘m glad I‘m not the only one nearing double digits with books in progress! 3w
mcipher @janeycanuck I know, right?!?! 😅😅 3w

#NetGalleyGroup #NGGreadathon #ARC

Dr Meenal Viz writes compassionately about the failure of the government to provide adequate PPE resources during the Covid19 pandemic. Her frustration at the unnecessary risks her colleagues, her husband, and her 6 month pregnant self were forced to take to give patients the care they needed is palpable throughout the book.

AllDebooks Her solitary protest outside No 10 Downing Street is laudable and triggered change.

What #ARCs have you read recently that you would recommend? 'Cos our tbr pile always has room for more. 😅📚📚📚📚

Zuhkeeyah I enjoyed the tagged book because it was different second chance romance from others I‘ve read 4w
AllDebooks @Zuhkeeyah that looks good. 👌 4w
AllDebooks One of the best autobiographies I've read in a long time. I especially recommend the audiobook for his narration. 4w
rubyslippersreads I enjoyed this by one of my favorite authors, 4w

This was so much fun! Combine pickleball, fantastic chemistry, ghostwriting, great friends, and a search for a muse and you‘ve got this delightfully charming read! And that cover ! A new to me author, this releases on November 18th and I highly recommend checking it out! I will be reading more by this author 😍 #netgalleygroup @AllDebooks

AllDebooks Love the cover 😍 4w

Bookwormjillk Hello! I got approved for a couple of cookbooks recently that I want to read and review this weekend. 1mo

AllDebooks @Bookwormjillk that's great! Are you going to try out some of the recipes? 1mo
Zuhkeeyah I have a cute romance I want to read this weekend 1mo
Bookwormjillk @AllDebooks If my sink gets fixed tomorrow yes I will! If not I will just keep dreaming :) 1mo
ShananigansReads I am exhausted. Had my biggest day of the school year yesterday and it took the wind out of me. I‘m currently reading Deep End by Ali Hazelwood. I hope to read my ARCs of Jilted by Vi Keeland and/or Mean Moms by Emma Rosenblum this weekend while I let my body rest and mentally prepare for the kids coming back next week. 1mo
IriDas I didn‘t think I‘d have time to do this but I have to take the train to my mom‘s tomorrow. Six hour round trip, so I will have time at least then. I also have Monday off work. :) I hope to finish two of my current reads this weekend. A Wizard of Earthsea and The Betrayal. And get closer to the end with Mapping the Deep. If I drag my kids into it we‘ll work on Impossible Creatures. 1mo
DGRachel This is apparently my week (or month or year or…) of forgetting all the things, like this being challenge weekend. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I have a ton of things I‘m behind on reading (technically due today and tomorrow) but I did manage to clear one NetGalley book and my LibraryThing Early Reviewer book off my list this week and as far as NetGalley goes, I have one that publishes on Tuesday that I would to read this weekend. That one is my goal. 1mo
Bookish_Thoughts No time today because we babysat grandkids. Then I found out this evening we may be hiking tomorrow. SO…if I can I will either start Where Dark Things Rise, or one of 3 being published on Oct. 28th. I *should* start Where Dark Things Rise, but the other three are *really* calling my name. 😁 🤔 4w
AllDebooks @ShananigansReads Wishing you a peaceful, restful weekend. X 4w
AllDebooks @IriDas that's a lot of travelling time. Safe travels. X 4w
AllDebooks @DGRachel Sounds good. X 4w
AllDebooks @Bookish_Thoughts isn't that always the way. I'm always afflicted by tbr-itis. 4w
ShananigansReads @AllDebooks thank you. I ran errands early this morning so I can mostly lay around the house the rest is the weekend. Still listening to The Deep 3 hours left 4w

Wow! So good, a great follow up to Sandwich but one that stands all on its own. Bringing together two storylines that examine health and consequences, this compelling story packs a lot of funny, heartbreaking, and meaningful moments into 209 pages.I had the honor of meeting the author and she is just as approachable and kind as you would expect. Releasing Oct 28, you won‘t want to miss this one! #netgalleygroup @AllDebooks

AllDebooks Sounds great 1mo
