@julesG here is just one of the many pages Dürer filled in his notebooks in preparation for his Adam and Eve. It‘s very reminiscent of Da Vinci. I think we were definitely on to something with that comparison.

Both the book and pens were an end of year present from one of my students who will be moving to a different school next year. Warmed my heart to get such a thoughtful gift. The tattered one in the middle is my diary. For some reason, to feel "free" in my diaries, I feel better using a notebook that I've had forever and feels/looks worn. I feel like I can't really let the ugly thoughts loose in a pristine new journal ?
