- I passed my CHAA exam
- We got first place in bar trivia for the first time
- Papa Murphy's has dairy-free cheese options
- @wildalaskabibliophile made me a Sazerac, and it was a freakin' delight! I had been gathering ingredients but hadn't made one yet.
- Words cannot describe the joy that Dick Van Dyke exudes. Found this on Instagram from a few days ago https://www.instagram.com/p/DIsBYq_zWWo/
I did not realize how very timely this banned book journal would end up being. I thought I would share with the #withthebanned crew in case they wanted to track their reading. It contains a bunch of information on book bans and how to fight them.
The author owns Bettie's Pages, a bookstore in Lowell, MI. I try to support the store with online orders because a bookstore like hers is much needed in that area of the state.

I also updated my world map for the end of the year. These are all the countries I‘ve visited through books in 2024. I‘m trying to get better at geography - hopefully I‘ve colored all the correct places! 😅

Here‘s my #serieslove2024 update!
I finished 3 series, added 1 more series, read 2 books in other series.

This is a nice reading journal, but I never used it, so I took it to the LFL along with another offloaded book and an extra 2025 planner I somehow acquired.
I missed my chance to donate the rest of the magazines in my free cycle group, so I‘ll just keep chipping away at the pile when the mood strikes me. It didn‘t strike me in December! No worries, though, because the pile is much smaller than when I started.

So I‘ve been keeping a log of what I have read since 1986. Just dates, titles , authors. No reviews , just noting rereads. What a long strange trip it‘s been.

Page two of son‘s reading Harry Potter in first grade—12 years ago!!
Since son is off to his first year in college, it‘s time to scrapbook first grade (I‘m a bit behind. But the nostalgia is worth the wait.). Anyway, here‘s my first grader reading Harry Potter. I don‘t know which book he‘s reading here, but he started the series before kindergarten started. And don‘t you just love the scrapbooking paper?
