Quick story: my godmother died in March, almost three months to the day after we found out she had pancreatic cancer. It was fast, and it was awful, and it still doesn‘t seem real. Yesterday at work, I opened our lost-and-found drawer when a patron called to ask if we‘d found any pictures in books she‘d returned. I moved a notepad, and this bookmark fell out.
