Two in-progress books that‘s are over 500 pages. I started Doctor Zhivago during lockdown in 2020; it was supposed to be a buddy read with my bf and roommate but they both gave up, and I started to wane about 30% into the book; I am still planning on finishing it eventually. I started Bleak House earlier this year; after an initial burst of reading, I have taken breaks and come back for a little bit at a time.

Pip2 I‘ve read Zhivago 20 years ago, wow time flys! I have not yet read Bleak House but it is in my to be read and currently collecting dust on my shelf. What do you think about it? Are you enjoying it? Currently I‘m reading Little Dorrit. Love this book. Dickens is a true master at his craft, he really makes the scene and characters come alive in this book! (edited) 3y

Kimberlone @Pip2 it‘s a fantastic book, love his writing style, it‘s just dense so I have to pace it out in digestible portions! My copy is nearly 1000 pages 😵 3y

DGRachel Matterhorn was so good. A hard, emotionally devastating book, but wonderfully written. 3y

This is one of my favourite read from a favourite author! Hard to get into it at first but once I got the hang of it, it was a beautiful journey!

#falltreasures #over500pages Every Man Dies Alone has been on my TBR for a long time , found this lovely copy a good while back but not started it yet.542 pages.I loved the tagged book, read many years ago #trollopeing a stand alone, weighing in at 930 pages ! Thackeray wrote maybe my all time favorite Victorian novel (so far ) Vanity Fair , have not tackled Penndennis 977 pages , not counting appendix & notes. #chunkster

To be honest, I usually avoid most books #over500pages (except for big cookbooks) 😉 as I am a moody reader & my attention span prefers shorter books. I think my last official finishing of a chunkster over 500 pages was East of Eden back in 2019 for a #buddyread

I do want to give a shout out to the tagged book I recently read because it‘s close at 496 pages & so good that I hardly noticed how long it was! It needs more love.❤️
