I needed a short read and this caught my eye - essays Zadie Smith wrote at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. They start with the pandemic specifically and end with an essay concerning the virus of racism, particularly in America. I found the collection interesting but not as insightful as I'd hoped.

Cortg Ugh! I hate when library systems put the stickers on the front. Ours are mostly on the back, but they've started putting them on the front of DVD's, which is really fine by me. I feel your pain. 4y

Summer of 2001 I drove from California to New York and naturally I stopped at a bookstore in every town I went through. I picked up my first Smith in Colorado at a bookstore on Pearl Street in Boulder. Don‘t laugh, but it‘s still on my tbr pile.

mrp27 @OriginalCyn620 It was an amazing experience getting to the see the country and the end result was my move to NY. I've since moved back to California but I loved my time on the east coast. 4y
