#Wrapup #BestOfFebruary

I read 9 books in February, which is a good month for me. I discovered audiobooks. Listening to them while walking to and from my studio or while driving definitely helps in finishing more books.
These three are my favorites, with 5 stars for Lionel Shriver. Highly highly recommended!

UrsulaMonarch Great month! 👍 2y
Kalalalatja Audiobooks save me when I‘m too busy to sit down and read! 2y
Suet624 I love Lionel. 2y

PurpleyPumpkin Well done!👍🏽 2y
CoffeeK8 @kspenmoll I loved it, she has had some fascinating and scary experiences. However, I haven‘t read her other books so I can‘t compare. 2y

February Stats:

No non-fiction or audiobooks this month. Doesn't surprise me because I usually listen to non-fiction on audio. Overall, a slow month. Have a super ambitious March TBR to make up for it.

My very lazy way of doing a February 2017 tally for reading with my two favourites circled. #monthlystats #bestoffebruary #fiestyfeb

RealLifeReading Or maybe just a more efficient way of doing it! 👍 3y
RadicalReader @lisakoby how do you do the circles? 3y
lisakoby @RadicalReader It's under the sticker part in the Litsy app. 😊 3y
RadicalReader @lisakoby thank you so much for all of your assistance 3y

February round up. Not a great reading month. My terminally ill mother in law was admitted to hospital about 10 days ago so I've been at hospital most evenings. Hopefully this month will be better. #bestoffebruary was Idaho and Sleeping Giants, least enjoyable was The Dunwich Horror, it's been a while since I've had a 2 star read!

GypsyKat I'm sorry about your mother in law. 😕 3y
DeborahSmall @GypsyKat Thank you, it's been a tough 6 months, we found out yesterday the cancer has spread significantly through her lungs. My darling father in law passed away just 18 months ago in the same hospital she's currently in. Think we have few tough months ahead 💕 3y
Jas16 I am so sorry. You and your family are in my thoughts 3y

GypsyKat @DeborahSmall That's so sad! I'm so sorry for your family's loss. Saying a prayer for your mother in law and your family. 💗 3y
kspenmoll Take care of yourself & your family as best you can. Hugs❤❤❤ 3y

DeborahSmall @TrishB @LeahBergen @saresmoore @MicheleinPhilly @kspenmoll @DGRachel @Jas16 @GypsyKat Thank you all for your kind words. Litsy has definitely been a refuge the last 5 months. We were told last April we'd be lucky to have her for 6 months, almost a year later and she's still here. Such a strong woman. Difficult to imagine a world without her. ❤️❤️ 3y
GypsyKat ❤️🙏🏼 3y
mjdowens I am so sorry that you, your family and your mother in law have to go through such a horrible ordeal. I do know what you are going through and I hate that anyone else has to also. Your Litsy family is always here for you🤗 3y
DeborahSmall @mjdowens That's the awful thing, that so many people are going through the same thing or have experienced it. I found out my brother, uncle and father in law had cancer the same week. My brother at 29 survived and is doing well but lost my father in law August '15 then my uncle last April. So many people are going through the same thing. Thank you for your kind words ❤️ 3y
kspenmoll Know so many of us are with you each step of the way. I lost my dad in Sept of 2014 & my mom January 2016. I am so so blessed they both lived long lives, but I still miss them every day. Loss is more than hard, but our friends & family & nature & books & so much else are there to hold on to every day. ❤❤❤❤ I am not an eloquent writer but I hope my empathy & caring come through for you. We all care. 3y

#bestoffebruary The Broken Earth series has consumed me and left me in a slump to wait for the final part.

@RealLifeReading

Daisey I'm reading this now and loving it! 3y
Anitta Go slowly @Daisey the third part comes out in August this year. The series is amazing, that accusatory and finger-pointing 'you' really pulls you into the world Jemisin created. 3y
Daisey @Anitta I thought about waiting, but I started the series when the Litsy Feminist Bookclub was reading The Fifth Season, and now my library copy of The Obelisk Gate is due back in a week! 3y
Anitta @Daisey then we are both doomed to wait :) 3y

A day late for the last of #FeistyFeb. I read so many amazing books last month, all of these were 5 stars for me (and most last week!) so it's a long list for #BestofFebruary

RealLifeReading Great month! 3y
saresmoore If someone forced you to pick two favorites, what would they be? 😬 3y
Moray_Reads @saresmoore If you absolutely forced me I'd choose Homegoing and There But For The. But I feel bad for the others because I loved them too 💔 3y
saresmoore @Moray_Reads I promise not to discount the importance of the others! 3y
