At first I thought, cool a brother and sister duo hunting ghosts - a bit of a Supernatural vibe.
I truly tried to like this.
The main issue was I did not like Harper at all, she's whiny, self-scented and so needy.
The other thing is the story felt forced, and abnormal. Focusing on unnecessary details, while leaving important issues behind for no real reason other than to prolong the book.

At least it's off my shelf now. #donation

I truly enjoyed this one.

I realized that I really like stories like this, where a hiker must battle not only their own inner self but also the harsh surroundings of the trails and all that it entails.

Even though I figured out the mystery early on, the writing was so captivating that I just had to keep listening.
The audio was extremely well-done.

I've been struggling for ages to find a cover match for Where the Drowned Girls Go, and I reckon this works! Colour, ocean theming, portal in the middle, etc. @TheAromaOfBooks #Bookchain2025

This entire Teacup Magic series is so enjoyable! It is set in a Regency-ish but more LBGTQIA+ friendly set of islands. >>

Lauredhel >> Each book has a bit of a different 'hook' - this one was Alice in Wonderland flavoured, another was more of a mystery, another a ghost story, another straight romance, etc. Kind of like LM Bujold's books. Recommended. 3w
TheAromaofBooks Wow, fantastic match!!!! 3w

4½✨

Sanderson did it again.
This installment is much slower and less action packed than the previous two, but still ending on a high that leaves me wanting more.

Mehso-so

I love stories about the ancient gods and their lives. So this tale about the Gaelic Goddess of Winter sounded right up my alley.
But I found it a little repetitive, and the lack of character growth in the first majority of the book got on my nerves.
The ending did somewhat compensate for the beginning and left me satisfied.

I picked this up solely because it fit with a #BookChain2025 prompt! I know Bonneville from his work in Downton Abbey and Notting Hill, so I was interested to read a bit more about his journey. There‘s humor laced with stories on various sets and theater productions. Not recognizing Leonardo DiCaprio was hilarious! #LitsyAToZ #LetterP

willaful Super cute the way you included the previous board! I've been wondering how to do that... 1mo
Lauredhel @willaful I'm That Weirdo who keeps all my challenges in Keynote, just because I'm used to it and know how to use it :)

So it's just screenshot, paste, & shrink!
