I was enchanted by every city we visited on our cruise four (!) years ago, but Bruges was by far the most picturesque. It has a bell tower, a cathedral, a canal with swans, a palace, quaint shops and cafes…

There‘s also quirky public art, such as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Don‘t ask me which one this is, because I couldn‘t read the Dutch sign with tiny writing.

RaeLovesToRead I went to Bruges as a teenager (when I was probably a bit young to appreciate it), so In Bruges was even funnier to me because I was like Colin Farrell 🤣 11mo

Voici mon retour sur “la femme au miroir“ d‘Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt.

Pour commencer, je voudrais remercier l‘amie qui m‘a conseillé cette lecture.
J‘ai eu un vrai coup de coeur pour ce livre et pour l‘auteur.
Écrit dans un style cinématographique, les paragraphes se succèdent entre les trois héroïnes, donnant l‘envie de tourner page après page.

Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt m‘a ensorcelé.

Soubhiville Yay! When is your trip? It‘s such a lovely city. Of course there are lots of chocolate and candy shops- my favorite discovery was dark chocolate covered orange rinds- whoa! Also waffles from the street vendors. Mmmmm! 4y

Another picture from my weekend trip to Brussels - the comic book store next to the comic strip art museum 😍 I love the comic-culture in Belgium, they habe huge selections in every book store! I would love to have this in Austria.

Amiable Bruges is beautiful! It was my favorite. Brussels is nice too (especially if you like urban settings), but Bruges has a fairytale feel to it that Brussels can't match. 6y
