Grace and Box is one of my favorite picture books, encouraging imaginative play! So fun to hear and meet Kim Howard at the Indiana Library Federation Youth Services Conference yesterday. ❤️

Celebrated my birthday by reading one of my favorite books to some of my students. I also indulged them with a Donald Duck cartoon. I use the applecore routine to get their attention. I thought they would enjoy seeing where I learned it.
“The Bauhaus- Each wing of the Bauhaus- one for workshops, one for classrooms, and one for living quarters“ This describes a certain type of building and also shows as ketch of it.
This book would be great for middle school and up. It talks about the several dynamics of building and the history of all of the. The illustrations in the book use blue print and sketches.
This book is about the evolution of buildings and how they were built. IT gives many descriptions on the type of building ranging from the start of the US to today.
“But the third little pig built his house of stone and concrete“
This book teaches the lesson of creativity when solving problems, this would be useful for students of all ages.
A retelling where the three pigs construct houses inspired by famous architects, the pigs use creativity in the process of facing the big bad wolf

I'm so glad I stuck with this series. While I didn't enjoyed the first two books as much as VA the last part of book 2 really made me want to read the next one. And I'm glad to report that it's back to VA standards.
This have everything I loved in VA. Quick paced, action pack and a sprinkle of love.
I love Sage's character growth. And I was surprised to learn some of her trades I found annoying, might not be her at all.
