I liked this book in the Bookmobile Cat Mysteries series more than any of the others so far. Minnie was less blinded by her own brain and things just went along more clearly. The mystery wasn't that difficult to figure out now that I've realized it's really important to pay attention to Eddie. Looking forward to the next installment. #61-2022

Another Bookmobile Cat Mystery. I really enjoy the anthropomorphizing of the cat character. Eddie is definitely a character. And much more logical than the main character but I'm growing fond of Minnie also. I'm sure by the end of the series I'll find her adorable. Or I'll wish she'd never existed. #37-2022

3.75/5⭐️ An enjoyable diversion, but the mystery revolved around ways to introduce fungi or bugs or disease in grapes or other foods. Kind of not what I want to read about in the middle of a plague. I enjoy the series, but I want to live in Crozet about as much as I want to live in Midsomer or Kembleford.

“You‘re as nuts as the rest of them.” Harry laughed a true deep, dump-the-stress laugh.
“I‘m not insane, honey, just unsane. I greatly recommend it during trying times.”

Boom Boom might be onto something. Perhaps we can use some “unsaneness” these days. Miss Molly By Golly would probably concur.

“Mary Minor, wilt thou have this man to be thy wedded husband, to live together after God‘s ordinance, in the holy estate of Matrimony?”

Well, it‘s about time.

Way too much of this book deals with speculation about how to kill people with viruses or messing with the food we eat, but it‘s still an enjoyable series. Reading this when I should be reading other things, but oh well.

I generally like these books, but I liked this one less. Minnie does some stupid things here, and I kept forgetting who the murder victim was. The pictures are from my walk while listening. Then, totally non-book related — my daughter graduated from college on Saturday. 😊

BookNAround Congratulations on the graduate!! 5y
KathyWheeler @BookNAround Thank you! I‘m so proud of her. 😊 5y

And now it‘s time for outdoor paper book reading - it‘s too nice to be inside. Plus inside is my Edie-cat, who just bit my finger because it smelled like cat treats - I‘m afraid to sit with her until I wash my hands, or she might eat me. 😬😆

Well that was fun!

Do you like cats?

Do you like light-hearted mysteries with “characters”?

Then this is for you! Best described as an “Ode to the Cat” story with a few mysteries to be solved. The protagonist, a PR man, is tackling their latest job - handling the public relations for a cat show. Tongue in cheek, yet fairly educational on the behind the scenes of a show. I highly enjoyed the narration.

The 13th book in the #MrsMurphy mystery series is a dud. So do yourself a favor, skip number 3 (Murder in Monticello) and also this one. Too much about wine in Virginia, too little mystery, and even the talking animals can‘t save it. Plus it takes forever for the mystery actually to start. Ugh. Hope the next one picks up again.

KathyWheeler I hated this one so much! Everything you said is absolutely right plus the solution to the mystery was so obvious that it made Harry look stupid not to see it right away. (edited) 6y
