Fast paced, action packed, dark and tense; but the ending was a real disappointment.
And still so many unanswered questions...
I guess I need to read the other 2 books to get those answers.

I love the inspiring message of this book, but it had just a tad too many YA tropes for my liking.
I think if I read this as a teenager I would have been much more impressed.

Um. Ok. So…I decided to try this one, since it was nominated for a splatterpunk award and I‘ve seen people talking about it. But like…wow. Ok. I feel a little dirty after reading it. I did laugh a couple times, but then the author uses#d the “r” word and I was upset. But then…just the sheer audacity of the sexism and homophobia was…a LOT. Not sorry I read it, but would not recommend.

Reggie Kudos to you for trying something outside your comfort zone. I love horror but splatterpunk and extreme horror is not my jam. 2y
Lauranahe Yeah, it was my second foray into extreme horror, but my first into splatterpunk. I think I‘m going to write more of my thoughts about it on goodreads, because I have things I want to say. I don‘t think I‘ll be reading more of Beauregard‘s books tho. 2y

I first learned about this book when I saw the musical that was based on it. Love the musical and I love this book. This book kept giving me goosebumps for remembering the events of 9/11 plus for reading how kind the people of Gander were to these stranded passengers. An incredible book (and musical)! #booked2021 #relatedto911 #litsyatoz #d #littenlisten #4points

BarbaraTheBibliophage I‘m contemplating listening to this one for the 9/11 prompt. It gets a lot of love here! 4y
