The Murder House | James Patterson, David Ellis

Pickpick

Jenna Murphy believes Noah has been incorrectly charged with murder. He#r side investigations earn her a suspension and later a demotion. But, she‘s still convinced this case ties in with a string of others, especially after her uncle is killed. Too many town secrets have allowed a killer to hide in plain sight. Gruesome.

Almost done, I swear!

This one I didn't care for as much as the others. The story is one you've heard a million times: a group finds a stash of hidden cash, everyone turns on each other other, group get paranoid about the robber that hid the money, chaos ensues. This one has a very Stine-esque twist though that I really didn't need and a scene I could have lived without

This is a mid pick for me. I really enjoyed the whole vibe this book let on. Ghost stories, party games, unsuspecting victims, trapped on and island. There was a lot of predictability but, I mean, it's Stine...of course there is 🤣 It was fun.

I always enjoy a Riley Sager and this was no exception. I mean, you've read the story a million times and know what to expect so there's really no surprises. Even the paranormal element. Could have done without it but meh.

#Bookspin pick checked off!

I‘ve spent the evening scouring Amazon for free ebooks for #readingafrica2022. Some are free with a Prime subscription and some through a Kindle Unlimited subscription. Countries covered from top to bottom: #Réunion, #WesternSahara, #Mauritania, and #Seychelles. @Librarybelle @BarbaraBB

The Mauritius Command | Patrick O'Brian
Mehso-so

A re-read: I‘ve gone through most of the Patrick O‘Brian books already, but this fits both #ReadingAfrica2022 for #Mauritius #Réunion, and #Booked2022 #Nautical, so I went back to it. A bit of a cheat because it doesn‘t really get into Mauritian culture at all, just conflict between France and England with these African islands as some of the many pawns. Not my favourite in the series, as others do get a bit more into culture and science.

Cinfhen Nice way to incorporate both challenges 🙌🏻 2y
Singout I thought so!

Libro molto bello, mi è piaciuto il fatto di mettere ogni capitolo sotto il punto di vista di un personaggio diverso #wonder #r.j.palacio

I was really enjoying this for what it was (a romance book for sure) but then there was a blow up with a best friend over a guy and I just couldn‘t. Friends since elementary school and a guy came in and ruined the relationship. I won‘t spoil whether they get over it or not, but regardless of whether they made up or not, I‘m still not a fan of the fight in general. #booked2021 #mustacheonthecover #litsyatoz #r
