Was surprised that I liked this book. Yet another book that I liked that was out of my wheelhouse. #12booksof2024 #november
Department Q has always been a great series. As the last in line, Locked In has all the intrigue and twists only Adler-Olsen can pull off. With throwbacks to other DQ cases and the end where we see the whole series come full circle — amazing. These are books you can read out of order or over and over. Save Locked In for last. Adding a spoiler tag because it's the last in the series. I don't want to ruin the ride!

The last in the brilliant Department Q series. It‘s bittersweet—I can‘t wait to read the book, but I‘m so sorry to see the end of the series.
An early #BookReport from me this Saturday
I finished the 10th Department Q crime book
I continued Sovereign #ShardlakeBR and Katti Anker Møller
And I‘m also reading Hedgewitch
The 10th and last book in the Department Q series. Through the previous books, we have gotten glimpses of the last case Carl had with his last team members. This book starts with Carl‘s arrest for happened back then on suspicion on corruption, murder, narcotics.
While Carl is in prison, his team is trying to find proof of his innocence and someone is trying to have him killed.
Will Carl survive and is he guilty?
My current view in Bergen Norway. So beautiful here but we head out tomorrow. Reading this book that takes place in Copenhagen which was our first stop on our trip…. Love reading about place I know or have been to… anyone else?
Despite the grumpy, rude, bitter protagonist, this is a suspenseful and interesting crime thriller. I plan to read more of this series.
@Cinfhen @alisiakae @Barbara #booked2023 A 1st fail in winter when I missed ya bk, so here goes for spring with #setintwotimeperiods.
Another great Carl Morck story, in which Carl + his 2 colleagues Assad + Rose investigate several disappearances in 1987 , while in present day the search focuses on a far right party moving into power. Thus is a very enjoyable series set in Denmark which combines great plotting with a brilliant sense of humour.
I really like the characters in this series but I found this installment a little too disturbing and gory for my tastes.
