I'm currently really struggling to read, but I found listening to this very interesting book did help somewhat to get me out of my slump.

This was really so informative and fascinating. I didn't realise how easy our eating habits are influenced by our environment. I truly believed myself above this, but was so shocked at how many things I thought was my choice only to realise that it was really the things around me.

French Women Don't Get Fat | Mireille Guiliano

Came outside to read in the sun and both furry freeloaders are trying to take my towel, I don‘t mind 🥰
Update: Yes she seems snooty but I learned a lot from her, I‘m tired of yo-yoing 20lbs and wished I knew how to cook French and eat like a French woman. Drink lots of water!!

I don‘t think I‘ve read books in the “for dummies” series, but this was quite good. Helpful explanations, humor, and good-sounding recipes!

I'm not sure how to describe this one, but it's out and there are rants about Game of Thrones, and rants about Aaron Rodgers, so I guess that's par for the course. Also, we answer some listener questions, discuss the upcoming Dennis Lehane novel, and Matt reviews the books he reads to his kid. Really fun episode, enjoy!

Currently reading. I love reading stories from people who were vegan or vegetarian until they actually step on a farm and wake up to reality and reconnect to nature. But Nicolette has a unique perspective being a environmental lawyer. Really enjoying this experience.

Here's the thing with this book - It's a simplified version of some things we can try to implement to increase our functional potential. It does not address all the obstacles that hinder each individual from achieving their goals with nutrition or fitness. The advice is not for everyone depending on your goals or situation. It's one guy's opinion based on his experience and basic-level research, nothing more. ⬇️ (Cont'd in comments) ⬇️

jitteryjane724 HOWEVER, after reading this book I do feel more inspired to find smart ways to challenge and exceed my current limitations. And that is enough for me to recommend this book. 1y

My friend turned me on to The Glucose Goddess on Instagram.

Neither of us is diabetic, but we are both interested in improving our overall health and MOODS ?

This book is filled with super easy hacks on how to lower your glucose curve.

Did I mention "super easy?"

Jessie's scientific explanations are easy to follow and include graphs and illustrations.

I really enjoyed her story about what led her into all of this.

4.0 ⭐️
Very informative and presented in a non-judgmental, easy to digest, and friendly way. I've heard a lot of criticism of this book from some other dietitians/nutritionists, but I honestly do not see why. I think that the information is helpful and Jessie comes off in such a laidback manner that it doesn't seem preachy.
