BarkingMadRead @Ruthiella I had to know! 6mo
Cuilin The more I read the more I empathize with Wilmet. She had no idea what she wants in life. As for Piers there was once upon a time, I would have been very judgmental at his work ethic but now I‘m like I hear ya. 6mo
BarkingMadRead @Cuilin when he we talking about days you don‘t want to go to work, I was nodding right along! 6mo
peanutnine @Cuilin @BarkingMadRead same. Too bad mental health days weren't a thing back then. I think Piers needs some help in that dept 6mo
Aimeesue Would you mind adding me to the tag list? I can‘t always read along, but I do love me some Pym! (edited) 6mo
julieclair Wilmet and Piers make me rather sad, aimlessly drifting through life. 6mo
dabbe @julieclair I totally agree! Their lunch and walk was rather odd. It seemed like he wanted to tell her something or wanted something from her, but just couldn't get it out. Something deeper going on here. 6mo
rwmg This popped up in my FB feed over the weekend - Kensington in 1951. Can you spot Wilmet or the other characters? https://www.facebook.com/BBCArchive/videos/258179253917187/?mibextid=zDhOQc 6mo
julieclair @rwmg Whew! I was too busy feeling anxious to look around for Wilmet. Crossing the street looked petrifying! 😳 6mo
rwmg @julieclair You can certainly see why they needed to introduce zebra crossings 6mo
bthegood @rwmg fantastic find - 😄 6mo
bthegood so many good lines “it was unnatural to want to acquire knowledge after working hours“ Wilmet's thoughts on people who take night classes. 😄 6mo
