The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating | Elisabeth Tova Bailey
post image

Had an impromptu trip for fun to the cities and bookshops are always on the agenda. 😁

The tagged book was such a quietly lovely read several years ago on Kindle, that I had to get a paper copy for a reread. Who knew the life of a snail was so fascinating? Plus, Elisabeth is not just writing about snails in the abstract, but about the actual snail she unexpectedly shared her life with while she was bedridden for months.

LeahBergen That sounds lovely! 🐌 14h
Tamra @LeahBergen it‘s really an antidote to the current chaos. 😊 12h

Five feet apart is a good book if you like things like Romeo and juliet, The fault in our starts, and Me before you. A book about falling and love and feeling connected but having so much love that you have to let it go. The theme is romance and letting go which is portraits through Stella falling inlove with Will but Will making the deduction to leave to protect her

August 2024 Book #5 Elena Knows
My first novel by this author. Short but powerful novel. So intense, well written. It was amazing how the illness was described, I almost felt I was inside Elena‘s body, feeling her frustrations to command her body to react, to follow her instructions. Characters were masterly described, so much was said in a short novel. It was so sad the story of Elena. I was just captivated by this stor, by this written style 5⭐️

Gissy I‘m glad this book was translated to English language. I heard the same positive reaction amongst English readers about the story and translation.

This was amazing! Tough read, but Piñeiro‘s writing just makes everything worth it. I‘m glad I took my time with this one and I did not expect that twist at the end!
