On a more positive note, I may have a long way to go to finish but I've read 11 books for @DuckofDoom's #SFFTBRChallenge so at least I'm making progress! Also, I did finish #LitsyAtoZ2018 so I'm happy I can say I accomplished at least one reading goal 😊 #2018WrapUp #SeasonsReadings

As a kid I was a fan of The Adventures Of Bailey School Kids, My Teacher is an Alien, and the Fear Street series and I think I would‘ve enjoyed the Zack Files series as well. I‘m definitely going to share this with Sy.

Phew! Thanks to a couple comic books and graphic novels I was able to complete the #LitsyAtoZ2018 challenge! It's the only challenge I completed out of all the ones I was trying for. I didn't even achieve my Goodreads goal this year so I'm glad that I can celebrate one achievement 😊 #LitsyAtoZ Thanks @BookishMarginalia for hosting this wonderful challenge! I just have to say that Adeline‘s family members were just undeserving, greedy, and jealous a-holes. Ugh!!! She loved unconditionally and all she got for it was stabs on the back throughout her life. The only ones who loved her (her grandparents, aunt Baba, and Great Aunt) couldn‘t protect her.
It‘s a story of an unwanted Chinese daughter who just wanted to be accepted, loved, and bring pride to her family. It‘s a sad #mustread. #LitsyAtoZ2018 #F

Before I even hit page 100 I had already cried twice while reading this. I feel for Adeline, I wish I could reach out to her and give her a hug along with some reassuring words. 😢

Couldn‘t sleep so I walked back downstairs to the kitchen to make myself some sleepy time tea. I‘m sipping from my banned books mug as I read a few pages from this memoir.
