I‘m all done with the #LitsyReadingChallenge bingo! Read lots of really great and diverse books, with ‘Born a Crime‘ for #LRC9 and ‘The Strays‘ for #LRC22 being my two favorites.... Finished on a high note with ‘Stay with me‘ for #LRC5.... a fab debut from Nigeria....

KarenUK @Jas16 @erzascarletbookgasm @Daisey @Ms_T @barbarabb @Redwritinghood Thanks all! It was my favorite challenge this year... pushed me to read diversely, but never felt like a chore.... 💕📚 6y
BarbaraBB I don‘t know that challenge, but it seems great. Do you know if someone is organizing this? 6y
KarenUK @barbarabb it was @Jessica who organized it.... I really liked the categories... there is a good reads group for it too 👍 6y
BarbaraBB Thanks! I found @jessica and the challenge. I hope there‘ll be one in 2018 again! 6y
jessberk13 @BarbaraBB @karenuk I'm working on the prompts for next year! Send your ideas my way! 6y
BarbaraBB @jessica Great! I don‘t know what prompts you‘ve already used but perhaps something like this: about islam / dystopian / World War 1 / written in the year you were born / about survival / about adultery / by an author you‘ve never read a book before / winner of a literary price / originally written in French / set in Japan .... just some ideas 😀, as I said I haven‘t played before so maybe I am all wrong! 6y
KarenUK @jessica @barbarabb a few more ideas.... a travelogue, a book of poetry written in the last year, a gothic classic, Set in the 80‘s, a romance novel, set in a boarding school, a book on mindfulness, a fiction or non fiction about sports.... 6y
BarbaraBB @KarenUK Great choices! I immediately start thinking what books should go with these! 6y
jessberk13 @Barbarabb @KarenUK noted!!! Took a screen shot so I have these ideas!! 6y
BarbaraBB @jessica Looking forward to the new challenge. Good luck with making it! 6y

An excellent second book in the Darko Dawson series, set in Ghana 🇬🇭. Really sad in places because of the nature of the victims and the descriptions of where they lived and how they got there. Surprisingly funny and touching in others, with a good whodunit. #LitsyReadingChallenge #LRC5 #setinAfrica #LitsyAtoZ #LetterQ (image from web) @jessica

Bookzombie I added the first one to my TBR! 🙂 7y
bookwrm526 @Bookzombie It's great! It was set more out in a rural area where this one is set in the city. 7y

If you want a read a detective story driven by male swagger, do not read this book. If you want to read how a resilient woman who uses her intelligence and intuition in her detective career to relentlessly pursuit truth and justice for her clients and her beloved county. #lrc5 #setinafrica

Wow. I wish this was at least twice as long. If you are one of the few that didn't read this last year (like I was), you definitely should. It lived up to and even surpassed the hype in my opinion. I'm going to have an even harder time than usual picking my favorite book for this year since I've mostly had 4 and 5 star books. So far, this is at the top. #litsyatoz #litsyreadingchallenge #LRC5

Progress is being made! I'm planning on completing the card, so I'll hit a bingo eventually. 😬The three challenges I'm participating in this year are my first ever and I am incredibly thrilled with the books I've read thus far. Some of them I probably wouldn't have discovered without the tasks for the challenges. Yay for trying new things!! #litsyatoz #readharder2017 #litsyreadingchallenge #LRC5 #weneeddiversebooks

This was great! A fast-paced standalone YA thriller with a diverse cast and great setting. This one started out on-the-run and never let up. I love the MC: she is feisty and independent. She's a refugee from Congo, living in Kenya. I love her friends too, great characterization there. Every time I thought I had a good grasp on the plot, a new twist would come up and it really kept me on my toes.
