This book was amazing!! I loved the characters. It was entertaining and enlightening. The writing style was beautiful—it often felt more like poetry than prose.

FINALLY was able to finish a book during #maymakeup. I LOVE this series. Although I rarely binge read series (usually put a book or two In between), I‘m thinking of jumping right into “Two Dark Reigns”. I have a lot of feels happening right now.

Finished Lord of the Flies today. I‘ve been meaning to read it for a while, and I‘m glad I‘ve finished it. Depressing, but an interesting commentary on civilization and human nature.

So sorry that I created the #maymakeup readathon and then fell into radio silence. Yesterday was super tough, as my fiancé was fired from a job that we were both super excited about him getting, and I‘ve fallen a bit ill due to the stress and upset of it all. That said, not reading was done yesterday and for much of today, so I‘ve adjusted my goal.

Day 1 for the #maymakeup challenge. I was not expecting to start out this strong, but I‘ll take any head-start I can get!
I finished The Last Lecture. It was short but thought-provoking, and it had an enormous energy and drive to it that I admired. I also decided to try the #bookishbingo this month, so I‘ll be using this book for Character in Therapy (it‘s probably a stretch, but I‘m counting chemotherapy).
Other two books shown are in progress!

So I LOVE that I've only read the first two of the Bosch books because that means I have tons more to look forward to. This one was terrific.

Almost at 4 1/2 hours for #MayMakeup. Not too bad for the first day. And this book checked off 3 prompts for #MayScavengerHunt (300+ pages, someone dies, and part of a series). Now on to the newest Firefly book.

Thanks to #maymakeup I was able to finish this up for #lmpbc tonight! Great pick @HufflepuffGirl90 !
