mcctrish Women should be free like men, but not actually free if it means being ‘unpleasant‘ 2w
Cuilin “For the first time he perceived how elementary his own principles had always been” “ I think that‘s for her to decide” a smidgen of growth perhaps? 2w
dabbe @Cuilin One can hope! 🤞🏻 2w
dabbe Lordy, I can just stare at this pic of DDL all day long. #theperfectarcher #theperfectanythingforthatmatter 2w
BarkingMadRead @dabbe he really is delightful looking 😍 2w
TheAromaofBooks I actually don't think Archer is a bad dude (at this point) - he's just always thought what he's been told to always think. And actually we see glimpses of him wanting something more with May - hoping that she will enjoy travel and discussions, but frustrated because she's always been told that she shouldn't enjoy those things. I feel a little bad for him, even knowing I'll probably end up despising him later 😂 2w
willaful @TheAromaofBooks I feel the same. Admittedly the bar is low, but he's not the worst. 2w
Clare-Dragonfly Wow I hate this. If there‘s no difference whether she gets the divorce or not why prevent her from getting a divorce?!?! And deliberately putting the one guy in the firm with a connection to the case on it? Talk about a conflict of interest (that wouldn‘t exist if they were only looking at the legal aspects of the case). I will never hire them, that‘s for sure! 2w
eeclayton @TheAromaofBooks @willaful I feel the same, too. I think it's the first time in his life when he really starts questioning things. 2w
willaful @eeclayton yes, and many people in his situation never get there. 2w
eeclayton @willaful So true! 2w
ElizaMarie This chapter made me value Archer. Although he agrees divorce is unbecoming, I praise him for not wanting to fully speak on this until he speaks with Ellen first. I love that it appears he cares for her thoughts on this matter (unlike her whole family!) 1w
