Bookwormjillk I think the problem I'm having with this book is that the adults just aren't interesting. The gift of Jane Austen is young adult angst not 30 somethings writing letters and talking about young adult angst. At least it's short! 2y

I thought it was vaguely interesting that, though Anne and Elizabeth aren't on first name terms, Anne refers to Frederick in her letter. I wonder what the etiquette behind that is. 2y

Returned Dream Lover to the Library when due. I did not get very far; kept putting it aside. Just could not get into it. Not sure why; just did not work for me. So I let it go.

kspenmoll @DivineDiana That's great! I just could not muster up the energy to slog through- that's what it felt like! Reading her works probably would be fascinating- I only got as far as 2nd home in Paris, still lover # 1, & tough times with her kids when back home, etc. 8y
