So far half into the book, and the characters seem a bit bland to me i don‘t know if I don‘t get them.

Every detail in this book was amazing. It hooked me from the first page. It wasn‘t a high fantasy novel. But I love a set up where the character is an underdog and eventually becomes the Hero. Fitz‘s story from his childhood has been told so beautifully by Hobb, it‘s like reading an autobiography. A fine balance between fine writing and an entertaining story!

pickI enjoyed this medieval romance. And I really enjoy the narrator, Nicholas Boulton! Unlikable heroines are hard, but I liked Melanthe. I like that in this book it wasn‘t a tortured hero but a deeply damaged heroine that had to find her way. And it was dark, and I enjoyed that too! #medievalromance #octoberread
