Clare-Dragonfly Hahaha! It doesn‘t really work on Keanu 😂 2mo
BarkingMadRead @Clare-Dragonfly it looks like someone used Halloween color spray on him 🤣 2mo
Clare-Dragonfly @BarkingMadRead Honestly, I don‘t get the impression this is a very high-budget movie so that‘s probably what they did 😂 2mo
Clare-Dragonfly I‘ve never actually seen this movie so I just went to see if it‘s on YouTube. It is, but I also saw trailers for a 2025 movie… also with Keanu! I guess he‘s playing Van H? Love it. EDIT: never mind, apparently they‘re fake 😔 (edited) 2mo
CatLass007 @Clare-Dragonfly I saw this when it was first released. At the time it was a high-budget movie. It was a gorgeous film to watch on the big screen. But I pretty much hated it because my heart still goes thud when I remember Frank Langella as Dracula in 1979. Gary Oldman was creepy not sexy. But it did have Cary Elwes and Billy Campbell. 2mo
rubyslippersreads @CatLass007 @Clare-Dragonfly I also saw it when it came out. Actually, I‘m more interested in rewatching the Bela Lugosi version, which scared me to death when I was a kid. 2mo
CatLass007 @rubyslippersreads Didn‘t Lugosi die before filming was finished? That‘s why he kept putting his cape over his face because it wasn‘t Lugosi? 2mo
rubyslippersreads @CatLass007 I‘ve never heard that. Didn‘t he live into the 1950s, long enough to make movies with Ed Wood? (If you haven‘t seen that Tim Burton movie, I highly recommend it.) 2mo
CatLass007 @rubyslippersreads You‘re right. Sorry. He died while filming Plan 9 From Outer Space. His double is who filmed the scenes with a cape over his face during filming of the Ed Wood movie. I remembered it wrong. 2mo
dabbe I don't know if anyone is interested, but a short story has just been discovered by Stoker that has been totally unknown to Stoker scholars. It's coming out next week! Link to the article: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/19/books/bram-stoker-gibbet-hill-dublin.html?unl... 2mo
