Anne of Green Gables | L M Montgomery

Thank you for the lovely #giveaway @callielafleur ! It was hard to choose just one movie for my favorite book to screen adaptations, as I'm a huge movie buff as well. But I decided to go with the 1985-1987 miniseries of Anne of Green Gables. It's been a favorite of mine since I was a kid and Kevin Sullivan did an amazing job. Plus, the cast was incredible! When I read the books, these people are who I picture. #OutlanderfortheHolidays 👒👜👒

WarpedSweetness This is the best one! The cast was incredible. I just watched one where Martin Sheen played Matthew...I didn't find it very good. 6y

JenlovesJT47 @WarpedSweetness I never had much desire to watch the new one, IMO they will never top this one! I started that new series on Netflix earlier in the year and was very turned off by it 😪you'll never top this cast for sure! 🤗 6y

RebelReader This is my favorite cast too and agree @JenlovesJT47 @WarpedSweetness that no other will top it. Tried the Netflix one, but just not the same. I'm going to read the book for the first time as an adult for one of my reading challenges in 2018! Can't wait! 6y

WarpedSweetness @JenlovesJT47 @RebelReader I definitely do not recommend the Martin Sheen one. He just...he wasn't Matthew; he talked too much or something. I haven't seen the Netflix one yet. I've been afraid to. I just... The Sullivan ones were perfect. I've been wanting to reread the books also! My 2018 is going to be jammed pack. Lol 6y

WarpedSweetness @JenlovesJT47 I'm even more scared of it. I was so excited at first, until I read an article that it was going to be "darker". I didn't like that. I will eventually watch it, even if it is one episode, but I'm dreading it. Martin Sheen is a good actor; I totally agree about that! But who ever played what I feel is the "original" Matthew was perfect. I agree! 6y

JenlovesJT47 @WarpedSweetness yeah this "darker" version was weird, almost blasphemous lol. I only watched one episode but I heard it gets more edgy and everything, which doesn't even fit the time period or stay true to the innocence of the books. 6y

I watch this movie at least 3-5 times a year. A feel good, kick back with a glass of wine movie.

V for Vendetta | Alan Moore

I have a few favorite book to movie adaptations, so I will choose the one I didn‘t see posted yet - The Shawshank Redemption, adapted from Stephen King‘s novella Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption. For the record, the others I considered were Stand by Me (adapted from the same book as this), The Princess Bride, and Anne of Green Gables. #outlanderfortheholidays @callielafleur

I loooove the Harry Potter movies almost as much as I love the books. I mean, the book(s) is always better but these movies will always be special to me! Here's my (very treasured) Bluray boxset!

I squeeeed & scooped them all up (even though I already owned a set). Then, when I went to pay they gave me the slipcase to put them all in and I pretty much lost my shit. 🤗🤣 6y
